who has one what do you think of it.
I have one with the groved recv. and snice the prices have gone up so I have thought about selling it but cant seem to bring myslef to part with it [^][:D]

I have 2 .22 mags and 1 .22 lr. Its just like holding on to stock. 0 -
Almost got my hands on one for $300 a couple years ago. Guy backed out last minute.[:(]
If you don't "need" to sell it, I would keep it.0 -
When I was actively collecting I owned several Model 61's and they are fun guns to shoot! They are a good investment as well as a fun shooter, so unless it is new in the box, dead mint, or you want extra money to buy that tractor[:D]; I'd hang on to it and have fun with it, but don't let its condition decline or deteriorate. 0 -

The 61 I sold was a 1937 .22 WRF single chambered, with the octagonal barrel.
Also a 98% gun in totally original shape,.......no refinishing of any type.0 -

Tazzer,.......if you are interested in selling it, I would contact BertH that is a mod on the experts forum.
He is a heck of a nice guy, and helped me tremendously with mine.
If nothing else he can tell you what you can expect in a sale.
Mine actually surprised him, as to what it went for. I just found the right person, at the right time, that wanted to fill a missing spot in his massive collection of 61's.
Kimi mentioned a price that I have seen the majority of the .22 LR's going for,........maybe a bit higher if in mint condition.
A lot of it depends upon the year and certain characteristics, plus the condition.
Refinishing also is a killer, so if you keep it to sell later, don't mess with anything unless you simply want it for shooting fun.

Dad has one I hope i end up with it someday. it rode in tractor cab for years was pretty ruff looking i redid it for him....was just a shooter anyways But looks damn good now. 0 -
