Tancredo Letter to Mexican President Calderon
( WASHINGTON, D.C. ) - Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton) today sent a letter to Mexican President Felipe Calderon questioning the motives behind his current visit to the United States as well as the charges levied by Mr. Calderon against the fairness of American immigration policy. I would have voted for him in a heartbeat.
We are a "lost" nation at this point,.....many don't understand that though.

I think our Founding Fathers were whipped from the git-go despite their well intentioned efforts. The War Between the States magnified the problems the government presented to citizens, and it has continued downhill ever since where a government that is truly of, by and for the people are concerned.
When I was a kid, old-timers might have said an encouraging word about government or politicians, but on the whole, the one thing I seem to recall more than anything else is that the government or politicians, either one, were not to be trusted. I firmly believe that this lack of trust factor that American citizens have for their elected officials on the whole is ingrained, and that there is very little that can, or will, ever be done to change it. It's just the way life is if the truth be known.
As gloomy as the above notes might be, the quality of life that most of us have lived thus far has been much improved over that of the previous generation in a great many ways, but surely, not all. Most of you who are of my generation fears for the future of our children and grandchildren, and we see some things that are very important to us, like the Selling of America to foreigners, but not so important to most children themselves for obvious reasons. Like us, and their parents, they are resilient and will give the best of themselves just as we all have done so as to ensure what we'd all hope to be a bright future for those that follow.
Spring is near, and the fishing ought to be good. [:)]0 -

Thanks for posting and I have been sending about the same email to our Mexicanamerican President wondering why Mexico has 47 consulates in our country and their president underminding our country. 0 -

I have more or less taken your viewpoint on things to a certain degree.
I have had a good life so far,......better than my mother and folks before us had.
I figure what does it do for me to make life miserable trying to overcome something that can't be done at this point.
I do not have kids to worry about,.....that is a good thing. I feel bad for you guys that do, but like Kimi said, I think they will adapt.
I do all that is humanly possible to protest this garbage, but the majority do not, and that is why this continues to happen.
IF there is ever an "uprising",.......I will be right in the middle of it, but I would not bet on that ever happening.
Still a great country that I am happy to live in,.........but the best days have been seen some time ago.
Live your life, and do all you can do, but don't have a stroke over things that you can't change!
