I had a M1 Garand that gave off 3 round busts here and their from the DCM. Its been fixed.[:)] 0 -
I saw a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol that would fire two, sometimes three shots with each pull of the trigger. It got fixed, too. 0 -
Had a Remington 11-48 that would fire off the whole mag when the trigger was pulled. It was fun, couldn't hit with it and it wasted a lot of ammo. Fixed it too. 0 -

A friend of mine had an SKS that would empty the mag when you pulled the trigger. Back in high school we thought it was the coolest thing around. He sold it long ago to a gunsmith/dealer. 0 -
That is why I went a head and installed one of these on all of my Semi Autos.
That way when the FEDs do their "secret" testing of my firearms I can blame them for cranking it wrong.

This is a copy of the REPORT OF INVESTIGATION dongizmo posted a link to in the other thread which 1911a1fan posted a link to in this thread. I didn't try to make a copy of the statement because I couldn't read it. If I cant read it, the scanner won't.
I have personal experience with statements prepared by NIS (currently NCIS*) in my name so I know you can't take a statement at face value, but it is usually an indicator.

US vs Olofson
Interview of Robert KIERNICKI. On July 17,2006. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, (ATF) Special Agents (SA) Jody Keeku and Rick Hankins interviewed Robert KIERNICKI (M/W, DOB 11/06/1987 regarding the Olympic Arms Rifle, serial number F7079 that operates in three round burst.
1. On. July 17,2006, at approximately 1:33 p.m., ATF SA's Keeku and Hankins interviewed Robert KIERNICKI at the Berlin Police Department, located in Berlin, Wisconsin regarding the Olympic Arms, serial number F7079 that operates in three round burst.
2. KIERNICKI stated that earlier this spring of 2006 he saw a "for sale" ad at the Subway in Berlin, WI for an AR 15 rifle for sale $1,000.00 by David OLOFSON. KIERNICKI called the phone number listed on the ld several days later and inquired about the AR 15 rifle for sale. OLOFSON invited KIERNICKI over to view OLOFSON's firearms. OLOFSON also spoke about doing military training together.
KIERNICKI saw a lot of firearms, in particular AR 15 rifles at OLOFSON's house. OLOFSON stated that he bought and repaired old firearms and then sold them. KlERNICKI stated that OLOFSON told him that he sold firearms on EBay over the internet.
3. SA Keeku asked KIERNICKI to explain the layout and contents of OLOFSON's basement. KIERNICKI stated that as you come down the stairs and turn to the right, on the left hand wall OLOFSON has shelves. On the shelves he has various types of ammunition such as 9 mm. 45 caliber, and 223 caliber. OLOFSON also has 5 to 6 rifles and a shotgun on the shelves. Next to the shelf is the computer that is sitting on a desk. The desk drawer is where he saw the 9 mm handgun. On the right hand wall there is a room with a curtain as a door. KIERNICKI stated that he saw into the room once. OLOFSON stated that is where they would assemble the AR 15 rifle KIERNICKI ordered from
OLOFSON. KIER.l\1CKJ Slated in the room he saw a bench with screw drives, vice grips, pliers, and hat Imers. OLOFSON explained to KIERNICKI that is where he assembles firearms.
KIERNICKI explained that he saw OLOFSON's 9mm handgun in the computer desk drawer in the basement. KIERNICKI stated to OLOFSON that he would be interested in purchasing one. OLOFSON offered to get KIERNICKI a 9mm handgun and that he could borrow the one in the desk if he wanted to.
5. OLOFSON stated to KIERNICKI that he could order an AR 15 from OLOFSON. OLOFSON would order the firearm and when it came in he would call KIERNICKI and he could come over to the house and they would assemble it. The firearm would cost S550.00. OLOFSON offered for KIERNICKl to pay him in installments. KIERNICKI agreed to the offer and also gave OLOFSON his Marlin 30/30 rifle as a dO'V11 payment.
6. OLOFSON offered KIERNICKI the Olympic Arms Rifle, serial number F7079 to use until the AR 15 that he ordered came in. KIERNICKI stated that he ordered the AR 15 rifle a couple months ago and it Still has not come in. KIERNICKI first borrowed the firearm in the late spring. OLOFSON gave him .223 ammunition and magazines to use with the Olympic Arms Rifle. KIERNICKI returned the Olympics Arms rifle approximately 3 to 4 weeks later.
7. KIERNICKI then borrowed the Olympic Arms rifle again in early summer. The first time KIERNICKI borrowed the Olympic Arms rifle he noticed that the selector switch went to a third selection. He asked OLOFSON, when he went to borrow the firearm the second time, what the third selection switch did. OLOFSON stated that the three-round burst did not work well because a part is missing and not to use it in the third selection. KIERNICKI returned the Olympic Arms rifle to OLOFSON several weeks later.
8. KIERNICKI borrowed the Olympic Arms rifle a third time the week of July 7th. The morning of July 13 he went over to OLOFSON's to get more .223 caliber ammunition for the Olympic Arms rifle. KIERNICKI, along with two of his friends, Brian Malzhan and Corey Cihlar then went to Berlin Conservation Club to fire the Olympic Arms. KlERNICKI fired the Olympic Arms rifle in single shot approximately 120 times. KIERNICKI stated he went through four, 30 round magazines. KIERNICKI explained he then remembered the third selection on the selector switch and tried it. He moved the selector to the third position, which was not marked, and pulled the trigger. The Olympic Arms rifle fired in three round burst. He pulled the trigger again and the firearm fired in three round burst. KIERNICKI then pulled the trigger a third time. and the firearm jammed. He then switched it back to single shot and continued to shoot single shot. The barrel started to get hot on the Olympic Arms rifle so he set it down to cool off.
9. KIERNICKI signed and swore to an affidavit competed on ATF form 5000.1, stating the previous facts.
10. On July 13t 2006, KIERNICKI gave Berlin Police Department, Patrolman Bob Zache a signed sworn statement stating the similar previous facts. KIERNICKI also signed a Berlin Police Department statement of rights.

Search Warrant. On July 19,2006, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Special Agents and Berlin Police Department executed a search warrant on the home of David R. OLOFSON (M/W, DOB 06/12/1971).
NARRATIVE:
1. On July 18, 2006, SA Jody Keeku obtained a search warrant from the United States District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin for case number 06-M-0252.
2. On July 19,2006, SA's Jody Kecku, Sandra DeValkenaere, Ken Handy, Rick Hankins, Mike Quick, Shelly St. Jacques, Paul Harding, Nick Garlie, Sheila Fry, and ATF Task Force Officer Steve Wolf, along With Berlin Police Department and Green Lake County Sheriff Department Tactical Team executed a search warrant at the home of David R. OLOFSON, 197 East Moore St., Berlin, WI 54923.
3. Located and taken from the home were various types of military training manuals. firearms parts, firearms. ammunition, computers, and computer media.
