Man am I "STEAMED"
The wife and I went to register (safety inspection BS) two handguns, one to her and one to me. Got the permits and went to the car to fill them out (I'm the dealer). Back inside the wife is first, everything goes smooth, my turn, problem!

The local sheriff's department is clueless when I transfer a gun from my business to myself. I have transferred approx 12 guns into my name in the last several years, and every time they come up with a new reason to give me grief. At one point a deputy had me fill out a person to person transfer form, which I argued about, but finally gave in (because I wanted to leave). The following day I was chastised by a Seargent!
One of them sent me away with the top section of a purchase permit. I am sick of argueing with Fife!
Ridiculous! Has anyone else went through this crap?
They have to be right, after all, they're wearing a badge?
I am going to request "written" procedure from Andy![xx(][xx(]

I have the same here, but they are used to it now, they only ask me once, its even more fun when I am picking up a RI-9, and a purchase license....
Are you listed on GB as a transfer dealer? that has brought me a few customers[:D]

No...I guess I've been lucky enough to live in free states. If I buy a gun for myself, it gets logged out to me with my FFL # listed for the details. I log it out of my book and that's the end of it.0 -

All they really do is verify the SN, most of the folks doing the inspections would not know if it was safe.
