Pharmacy update

I quit going to the Walmart pharmacy after they messed up the dosage on my 2yr old's medicine earlier this week. (See thread WALMART!!) I asked around at work and asked the Dr. and his receptionist who was the best pharmacist around, and everybody said Merrill Pharmacy was it. Took a prescription there today and I'm very happy with them. The owner of the place was there working and he seemed nice. Pharmacist was very helpful with our health insurance as well. only took about 10 minutes to get the medicine, too.

    a doctor just prescribed a possibly un-necessary prescription for antibiotics for my daughter's finger infection this evening[:D] i will give it to her though, he's the expert not me. can't be to careful, the wrong kind of staph infection can kill you in a short period of time from what it hear. i will be filling at meijer though, not walmart. bring on the meijer pharmacy horror stories! and bring on the expert opinions from people who've never attended a day of medical school!

    When Wal-Mart started with their $4 prescriptions, changed over to them. Never had a problem, and save me a little over $100 per month on my drug bill.

    Any pharmacist can screw up...it is not limited to one chain, one pharmacist, or one company...every one screws up .....

    It is up to the consumer to ask the dr, and ask the pharmacist...Any one that walks out of drs office not knowing what was prescribed and the dosage is not a "good patient"....and then to not check what you get when you pick it up to see if it matches what the dr said?....

    Very very lax....

    told ya so, you can't beat a hometown pharmacist

    did you know that they still mix several medications right at the pharmacy? something to think about next time you get a bottle from a min wage pharmacy tech

    I like my walgreens, pharmacy is open 24 hours.
    Smells, I have used meijer's no complaints, I can tell you a story about the old faemer jacks though..............
