Nunn, ECC et al how about religious forum
I guess I sort of opened a can of worms about a religious statement I made and that cetainly was not my intent.
But, since we have a political forum, how about a religious forum? That way if you want a prayer and believe in prayer, you can go there and be with your own touchy feely crowd.
Hopefully, I have never diced anyones religion, and if I have, it was inadvertant. Ordinarily, I do not care what your religion or politics are. I will not tell you mine and I don't really care what yours are either.
In the spirit of a new year and to quote that great American philosopher Rodney King, "Can't we just get along?" Tom

Heck, given how much each party panders to religious zealots, why not just post your religious topics in Politics?[:D]

I think if GB were to have one an appropriate title might be Matters of Faith but I'm not all that sure that we need it.0 -
A religious forum would be great. Kinda like the Cartoon Channel, it would allow adult conversations to be uninterrupted by keeping them occupied. Everyone could have all the Hosanna's and Hail Mary's they can stand. 0 -

what about when any topic is discussed, and "praise this" or "holy that" is mentioned in passing? how about the occasional "the Lord works in mysterious ways" explanation? do those replies get ppofed then? or does the whole thread get moved to the religion forum?
religion gets mentioned often enough to make its presence known. so do the rebuttals from noninterested athiests. but I don't think there should be any concern that it's abnormal. it's like a cross section of any room full of people you might find.
it doesn't bother me that much, since I've learned to ignore it, and I think most people can too. what they have to say, I certainly disagree with, I disagree with their screwy logic, and it irritates me to no end when they start an argument but find themselves on the losing end and either run way or quit responding. that is irritating. but when they simply talk about it or comment on what they think, why not let it be, just like every other polemical issue.
I say there isn't a really a need to create a religious forum. not enough of a need, anyways.0
