Buyers Getting Screwed
It appears buyers are paying a lot more to have purchases shipped to them than the actual costs. This is getting as bad a e-bay and to me is dishonest.

You are griping about nothing. If you don't like the terms of a specific auction, DON'T BID. It's just that simple. If you don't like Gunbroker, go find another gun auction site with over 200,000 auctions at any given time. Oh? There's not one?

Do you really consider $6.25 to be "excessive" on five bags of brass? I think it's very reasonable. There's more to shipping than just the cost of postage. 0 -

Yes I do know what it costs to ship.
If you can have rifle shipped for $20 you need not pay 6.25 for 1 as in one bag of brass.

The seller clearly and honestly states that postage is based on FIVE bags. If you only want one, e-mail him and ask for a reduced shipping cost.0 -

Thus 1,2,3,4 or 5 bags cost the same. Am I missing somethig here spiderman.

I charge $8.00 to ship a Ka-Bar from NY to California by USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. The postage alone is $7.35 without adding any packing materials or labor. I guess I'm on my way to wealth, too. [:D]0 -

+1 Why don't you go to a postage calculator and figure postage of an item. Then don't forget to add in insurance, delivery confirmation, then the cost of the shipping box and packing material, then your time and gas to drive it to a post office, UPS, or Fedex shipping location. When you do all these calculations, then complain about $6.25 for shipping.
Why don't you complain to UPS or Fedex for driving up shipping cost unnecessarily by having us to ship handguns Next Day Air at about $45 buck a gun. You whinning about $6.25 is just that, whinning over nothing. Get a grip![V]0 -
First of all:
The seller plainly and clearly states what shipping is, if you don't like it don't buy it.
Secondly:
Maybe you need to pay a visit to www.usps.com or www.ups.com or www.fedex.com and see what shipping rates are ... all three sites have a shipping calculator so you can see exactly what you are getting for your buck. Keep in mind this is shipping only and doesn't include boxes, tape, labels, packageing ... unless you ship Priority Mail, then the boxes, tape and labels are free ... but you pay a higher rate.

I ship USPS priority if at all possible. If it is ammo I ship UPS because I have to. Many times I am loosing money on the shipping. The priority boxes are free if they have the right size. I have to buy the buffer material and the tape. I have to drive to the post office, 10 miles and UPS 20 miles. UPS then charges additional fees to what you see online. Fuel use and rural delivery charge for two. Yes shipping is very expensive right now but making money on it, not hardly. 0 -
