colt 1861 navy revolver parts
i have a colt 1861 navy dug in atlanta in 1965. i have it taken apart, and need a set of screws to re assemble.also need a pr of wood grips for this pistol, it was cocked and charged when found, in pretty rough shape but a lot of the markings are still visable ..would like to know value if reassembled, i had to drill out a lot of screws after cleaning , but no damage to pistol,,if anyone can help me ,i would appreciate it.. also i payed 300.00 for it when found. did i get a good deal??? thanks rodney

Try Dixie Gunworks http://www.dixiegunworks.com/ for the screws you need. They handle parts for originals. Cant help you with value of a cleaned up relic, sorry.

I felt compelled to respond to this old thread for those who might read it. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO RESTORE OLD DUG RELICS. THEY ARE WHAT THEY ARE. THEIR STORY IS SILENT BUT IT IS THEIRS. THEY SHOULD REMAIN THAT WAY. BETTER THEY STAY IN THE GROUND THAN DESTROY A 100 YEARS OF HISTORY. 0
