TAX TIME!!!

Just did my taxes and I'm getting a combined 1100 back! 450 of it is going for new suspension for the Taurus, the rest in savings. What are your plans?

    New water softener. Pay off the credit cards, save the rest.

    Pay off car and put the rest towards my house mortgage. Next year will be better. The whole refund will go straight to mortgage.

    Suggestion: This year, have less money held out for taxes, and every month, apply that money toward the principal on your mortgage, or put it in savings, or buy a new gun every so often. At least then you will be getting a return on your money.

    I will probably get a refund this year, but if it is over $600, I will be visiting HR and having less money held out.

    Ideally, I would like to keep my tax situation so that I either get a very small refund, or have to send in a very small check.

    I am going to buy a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 and we are getting new tires put on the girlfriend's car. Whatever is left over after that is getting put away.

    Federal withholding is the biggest tax scam of all time. You probably paid tens of thousands of dollars in taxes but instead of being enraged about that you are excited about "getting $1100 back".

    Read the Neil Boortz "Fair Tax" book - it has a great explanation of this.
