50.cal 777 FF

Can someone please tell me how much 90 grs. of 777 ff weighs on the scale. I know its supposed to be a volume but its been a long time and my TC powder measure dosent have increments marked. I want to shoot my 270 gr TC maxi-balls in my 50 Hawken TC. The Hodgdon manual says 90 will be fine. Thanx for the help. I think I know where the setting is but I want to double check.

  That is a weird one, a powder measure that is not marked.
  Buy a new powder measure. After all, you might want to shoot 80 grains someday.

  The grain is a unit of mass; that is, it is measured by weight. 7000 grains equals one (1) avoirdupois pound; 437.5 grians to the ounce. So use your scale to measure 70 grains. The volumetric measure must be calibrated by the scale in your case.
