If you were to use 70 grains of blackpowder or blackpowder substitute, you would have the equivalent of a 50-70 metallic cartridge rifle, such as a Sharps, Springfield trapdoor, Remington rolling block, or others.

I have a Kodiak in 58 caliber and I use the same load as in my original Civil war muskets, 60 grains behind a patched round ball or a 505 grain Minie ball.
