Stainless Marlin 1894
Hoping some of you CAS guys could answer a question for me. Does SASS have anything against using a Stainless Marlin 1894. Went and looked in the rulebook and didn't see anything against it. Heard of a guy using one as his inclement weather gun. Is it likely that a local club has rules above and beyond SASS the would/would not permit the use of a stainless rifle? Thinking about getting into CAS and would like to know if this rifle would work.
One more thing - Microgroove and cast bullets. Heard this was a bad combo, true or not?

No reason why not, lots of Ruger stainless steel revolvers are used.
As far as micro-groove barrels and cast bullets go there shouldn't be any problems at the distances we shoot in SASS.
