lead bad?
Got some lead from a "friend" who was helping remodle the local hospital, the lead is roughly 1/8" sheet that came out of the walls of the x-ray room. I was wondering does it absorb or reflect radiation and is it a health hazard to melt it and make round balls I've made about 400-500 then got to thinking should I be doing this? only thing is it is good pure soft lead, and I have 40-50lbs hate to throw it away.

No bad rays, just wear a mask when you melt it, like you always should and you will be fine. Have fun with your end stuffer.

Shoot one of the balls you made at night. If it glows like a tracer lose the lead
I really wouldn't worry about it. If it was dangerous the DEQ or the nuke people or somebody would have taken it.0 -
Lead does not absorb radiation, so you will be just fine. 0 -
Actually, lead DOES absorb radiation. That's why it is used for radiation shielding. However, it does not BECOME radioactive or admit radiation. 0 -

GET AS MUCH OF THIS LEAD AS YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON.
What you don't use, you can sell for a pretty decent amount either on GunBroker or eBay. You can query up "IronAge" on Google and see what lead is selling for per ton these days.0 -
Lead wears out from radiation exposure. You should give it all to me. 0 -
