Was there ever a brass framed Schofield? Denix makes a non firing version of one but was there ever any actually made?

  I agree...I have two...got them from navy arms as soon as they came out...serial #s 121 & 123...my good friend decided he wanted #122 so I couldn't brag about having consecutive serial numbers!
