checkin out some new broadheads
So I tried expandables this past season, and I can't lie, they didn't let me down. I missed twice but also killed two deer. On my second deer I even made a poor shot and still recovered him about 100 yards away. Here's the dilemna, I get into these hunting shows on tv and they swear up and down on the new slick tricks. Anyone used them? I am going with those or rage expandables this year...anyone got reviews on either of them for 100g. ?

Slick tricks are the best fixed blade i've ever shot. I shot both slick trick and rage last year. The rage leave an unbeleivable hole, but will open up while in or taking them out of your quiver sometimes. I have also heard of them opening in flight if they are not secure in place. My money goes towards the slick tricks over any other. 0 -
tacos on the money A gun best I have shot also.. "Jump in and Trick some deer now"[;)] 0 -
Tricks are nice heads. I have also shot the Rage, good results there too. This year I am shooting a G5 Striker. We shall see how that does. I still do not know why I keep switching. The old 3 blade Muzzy killed deer just as dead as anything else. 0 -

I agree I used them for years but the slicktricks get more pass-thrus for me fly superb... the rage I diddent like. heard the g-5's are excellent too along with shuttle t locs.. all good heads.0 -
Used the Rage great hole but the set screw takes the brunt of the force and you can't get it out to replace the blades..Having said that I read on AT that they are using a pin now and not a set screw. I have 2 packs of Slick Tricks I'll be trying this year. Haven't shot them yet so I can't give ya my input on those. 0 -
So I went to a sproting goods store and they had deals on archery products...safe to say I made my decision after shooting the practice head this afternoon at 35 yards, DEAD ON! (Don't even use a pin after 30 lol) Here's what I got...http://www.ragebroadheads.com/rage3blade.html
-Would they of had slick tricks at all i would've been stumped on what to do. But considering these were marked to 25 bucks, I took em'. Now if only september could get here faster....0 -
Since you went with the Rage I have a bit of advice for you. Remove the foam block from your quiver head and put in something 1/4" thick just so the tips are held in place or you will be wanting to throw the Rage heads away. Some quivers (like the Alpine Bearpaw) have a 2nd foam block that works great with these heads. 0 -
25 bucks is a steal! They usually run closer to 40 0 -
My quiver doesn't use foam, but rather just holds the arrow in place, the arrow heads never enter anything just get covered. but thanks dcso, I appreciate it man. 0
