Archery danger..............

I knew a guy who shot himself with an arrow! Sounds impossible? Apparently he tried shooting an arrow that was cracked/split and he didn't notice. It drove the split shaft down the length of his thumb. That just had to hurt really BAD! Off he went to the emergency room with the arrow sticking out of his thumb. Imagine trying to explain how the HELL that happened. I think he switched to aluminum arrows after that. This is a true story![:0]

  I've heard of that before. Always check your arrows.

  One of my nephews was at a summer camp & was fooling around with a bow with a knocked arrow. He somehow accidentally shot the arrow at the ground & it bounced back up with the knock going into his eye. His eye was permanently damaged. Very sad but it shows that accidents happen & these are lethal devices deserving proper respect.
