Does anyone still hunt with...
a long or recurve bow anymore? All I see now at days are compounds. I did not even see recurves in competition the other week at an event.

I hunt with both recurve & compound. I have killed at least one deer every year with a recurve for about 10 years straight. 0 -

Long & recurve bows are very popular in Europe especially Germany, Sweden and Netherlands. Have sold old classic bows to them and they are willing to pay a good premium. Easy to send by US mail too. They use them for popular competition events and hunting. Maybe for lack of guns or gun laws or something. They have big very active archery clubs. They love the older classic bows in good condition and use them for show and lots of shooting. Stick one on e-bay or Gunbroker and watch the excitement. The older and more rare the better. They don't seem to have money problems and no problem with higher shipping costs charged for overseas handling. I have charged an extra $30.00 handling costs beyond the cost of shipping for the extra paper work. You want to mark the shipment as antique archery parts. 0
