First sheds of the season #5&6 today 3-24-08

Hunter Mag
Walked about 10 hours so far this season and finally found my first sheds. They were both frozen in the snow/ice but after 40 minutes or so I was able to get them free without damage.[:p]
A nice 10 point set that was 4 feet apart along a trail.[8D]

Found one more this morning. The other side was no where in sight.[:(]
He's just a pup but a nice find.[8D]

Found this chewed 4 point this morning. One I missed from last year.[:(]

Found 2 more this morning 3-24. They both look a year old and are similar in size, but I'm not sure they came from the same buck?
The right side is a 5 point and the left is a 3 point,no browtine and it wasn't chewed off it's just not there. I did find the both within 100yds of each other, so who knows[?][8D]

    HM, Nice looking set of sheds. That would have been a nice symmetrical buck. At least he is still alive! Imagine what he will be this coming season. Good job on the find.

    That buck is 130+ this year. The sheds measured 61-2/8" on the left and 59" for the right shed so that's 120" not including spread.[:0]

    Wow ... those are nice looking sheds. I have never found a shed in many years in the woods. You've inspired me to start looking harder! Thanks.

    i have hunted and hunted and never found a shed before.

    i did find a pretty cool "dead" one time, but it was the previous year, if not 2 years and it is really chewed up. it woulda been a hell of a rack if i had found it before the rodents did. [:o)]
