Old recurves:::??
i have a Bear Kodiak, that my father purchased in the "60's,,, its in excellent condition,,, and i have also aquired a recurve made by Colt firearms mfg. I even called colt and the "historian" w/ 25yrs, said she didnt even know they made a bow,, can anyone help me out on what these two bows might be worth? thanks for your time and help.

yes,,,after looking again,,, its a Colt "plainsman" by colt's pat. fire arms mfg.co.inc hartford conn. usa,,,, the # on the side is P365-0499 ,,,, ill try and get some pics of it on here tomorrow,, thanks 0 -
Googling I found an old thread threw the ohio sportsman forum that was dated 2006. the guy had a Colt Plainsman, 60" 47# 28 " draw got it off ebay for $75. 0 -

That be me! Probably... I used to hang out over on Ohio Sportsman. I bought a Colt Plainsman. Works great, havent killed any deer with it yet though...But fun to shoot...[8D]
I'd say it was well worth the money... No warps,No cracks, couple scratches. Had a string made up for it and bought a dozen wooden arrows with feathers.0 -
Bear Kodiaks are valuable to collectors depending on what year and what poundage. email me with the serial number and picture if possible. The colt is worth probably $75 to $100. 0
