California Shipping Approval Letter??
How about some comment on this new (July 08') regulation for California. How many permits, how many different laws can we tolerate? I think I will add "NO shipments to California" to all Gunbroker ads. If all FFL's did that, you'd just move out of CA. if you want a gun. Who would want to live with Gay Marriages and Gun Bans in your state anyway?

Do you guys from Ca not call your elected officals? They change the gays marrage laws for less than 8% of the residents, do you not think if you ban together ( with what should be 30% or 40% of gun owners- just guessing) you too can get action? 0 -
In the "PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CALIFORNIA" policy will be made by the select and accepted by the weak. Are there no AMERICANS left in CA? "THOSE WHO WOULD TRADE SECURITY FOR LIBERTY DESERVE NEITHER". We are at a crossroad in this country; a increasingly smaller group controls a larger share of the wealth and power. Will we all become "THE RULED" or will we be brave and remain "THE FREE".
STAND AND FIGHT MI AMIGOS! VIVA LIBERTY!!!0 -
I have little sympathy for the people of California. They elected the garbage in power ..they allow them to remain in power.
Actually ..I am delighted over this new law.just as I am each time another new law is enacted.
I prefer the noose to be tightened around the neck of every person in this country ..ratcheting ever closer to strangulation.or freedom.
The day will come when the remnant people of America.the descendents of those mighty men, the Founders ..will have to make the final decision.
That decision will be simple.
Submit ..as a slave forever;
Or emulate the Founders.
We are facing this on a national level this cycle.nothing but garbage running. The one man that actually stands for something was soundly rejected by the people that live in this country.
So be it. They bought and paid for their stupidity.just as the people of California are today.0 -

As an admin on the largest CA only firearms forum I ask you to not stick us all in the same pot. Some of us fight hard every day to get our rights back and we are winning many of those fights. I posted a while back before I left this site ,(because of statements like the above that don't serve anyone but the original posters)we would defeat the SF handgun ban and go after the rest of the ludicrous laws. Well we won. We have an uphill fight and we are not asking for anything but your well wishes. There will come a day when all of us can learn from our struggles. Has the assault weapons ban taught us nothing? They will come for your guns someday and I hope I am there to help you fight for your rights as well. Calling us names only separates us and is counterproductive. As the owner of hundreds of firearms I have a big dog in this fight and I will not stop fighting till we win. Think of me and the thousands of hunters and enthusiasts that love our state and homes even if we cant stand the pansies voted in by our political enemies. We are getting stronger everyday and feel our fight is the same kind of fight that makes America the country it is, the greatest on earth.
Do you believe anyone that would like to buy a gun from you in CA had anything to do with this latest piece of crap law? Why is it that you generalize and allow the gungrabbers to win. There are hundreds of thousands of gun owners in our state that just want to be treated equal. CA is the most populous state in the union with an economy larger than 7/8ths of th countries of the world. There is no way we are going to get the majority of votes for our cause, too many democrats and gun haters. The only chance we have is to go after the laws based on constitutionality and common sense. All I ask is that you stand besides us and not above us. If you refuse to sell us guns because of the new law then they have already won. It only takes a few minutes for an FFL to get the freakin letter from our extortionists, private individuals are exempt from any of this madness. Remember you are only helping or hurting one of us.

I feel your pain, Ivan;
That being said ..ask yourself a couple questions.
Did you contribute to this latest law by supporting ANY Federal or State gun laws ?
Do you support the Second Amendment in its original form ..or the New American form ?
You brought this on yourself ..if you support gun laws of any stripe.
`Fight on' your political fight.
I tell you, tho ..the die is cast.
There comes a time when the stony face of decision is all that is left to be turned to the authorities . the decision to resist.
I welcome every new gun law ..sad as it may seem to you.
For you see.I HAVE BEEN TERRIBLY UPSET SINCE 1968...a time when most of you started crawling on your bellies completely happy to be begging daddy for a gun.
I want the REST of you to be `terrible upset' .. instead of merely shuffling chairs around on the deck of the sinking Titanic.0 -
Please dont ask me to leave my home. I will stay and fight. As I said we are outnumbered and yes there are some laws that my religion alone has me at odds. I fight those as well. My question or prposition is do we abandon the good because of the bad? Do we paint the whole state with the same broad brush? If you answer yes then you yourself are part of the issue and not the solution. 0 -
You are arguing a point that I reached years ago...that being that the corrupt political system is entirely too busted to fix by voting, letter writing, or begging....the typical reaction to draconian laws.
I believe that in the vanguard of any political reformation, there will have to be people that will die on their doorstep...victims of the Beast.
People that refuse to obey one more law...one more edict from vultures in robes or parasites at city hall.
I do not intend to spend more of MY coin, my time, my talent, or my dignity wading in a cesspool with politicians.I have been there and done that.
Personal decision, you see.but MY decision nonetheless.
No.I will peacefully wait for the Beast to make a mistake.
That mistake being to make people like you mad. Not just `upset'.but FIGHTING mad.
Then.and ONLY then.will we have a chance.
The fact that you are getting hurt is regrettable ..but kindly remember that it was not I that hurt you.
Remember that it is gun owning anti-gunners that have desperately hurt you .. and our cause.
Please reserve your fury for those that DID hurt you...the politicians and IDIOTS that voted them in.
As mentioned previously...I have been hurt since 1968. That is how long I have waited for a resurgence of manhood here in America.
I have not seen it yet ..except for a scattering here and there across the land. We are truly blessed to have a few...a VERY few .. right here on Gunbroker, Gun Rights forum.0 -
I was born a 5th generation Californian. I now live in Nevada, of my own choice and sacrifice.
I grew tired of constantly battling the evil masses of socialists and I grew weary of trying to rally the few bewildered and confused allies that I found.
As Highball has alluded to, I found many of my fellow Californian gun-owners to be complicit in the Liberals' big gun grab. There were the country club gun owners, who thought it was okay for people to own a gun, just as long as it was only them and their elitist groupies. After all, who needs any more guns than a $2,000 shotgun to hunt ducks with, right?
Then there were the gun-owners that thought it was okay to own guns... but only certain "safe" types of guns, like revolvers and maybe a few select semi-autos (which the California DOJ quickly obliged by instituting their handgun "list").
"Why would anybody ever NEED to own an AK or AR?" is what I would often hear from my fellow California gun owners. They would say, "We are ALLOWED to own all the guns we need"... the meaningless words of a beat down populace whom a totalitarian regime has punished into submission. Gun ownership has been relegated to a privilege in California.
I saw them all becoming good little Germans. I decided not to ever allow myself to become one, so I left for the REAL America.
Unless you spend every waking moment fighting the Beast, then you ARE, in some way, FEEDING THE BEAST! By merely gracing California with your presence, you are complying with and promoting every insane gun restriction by your mere complacency.0 -

As a matter of fact I do fight them EVERY day. Come on over to calguns.net and see if you find one elitist gun owner. All you will find there is a group of men and women that fight and make a difference everyday. Someday we will be on equal footing if we are successful in our endeavors.0 -
I disappointed in the "will not ship to California" stance. Think about it gentlemen. Aren't you denying California residents the same rights others have? C&R license holders are not required to get the permission to ship to California yet some of you refuse to ship to California.
I thought "United We Stand" applied to us all... I will support you when your liberals go on the attack. Kindly do the same.0 -

Sorry.
Some of us are tired of supporting people who can't ever seem to fix anything that is wrong with their state. If WE choose not to deal with the BS or sell to people who like living neck deep in BS, that is OUR choice.
How many times should a person throw a liferaft to a person whom continues to jump overboard? I say my arm is tired. Either tread water or drown. Time to save yourselves.
I am quite tired of doing things for people, because they are too lazy to fix things themselves.0 -

I am sorry you feel that way. We will be here to help you when they come for yours, guaranteed.
We are stronger when we fight together thats for sure. Grouping all Californians together is like saying all gun owners are killers because one gun owner committed that crime once. all we ask is you don't throw those that are trying to fight the system under the bus. Have you checked out the website I asked you to? Have you looked at the strides we have made? Have you seen where we have the BOF in CA on their heels especially post Heller? Look past your own nose before you call us lazy again. I have invested too much to swallow that pill.0 -

Bitter pill isn't it? The pill of defeat.
I don't really give a rip what PRK is PLANNING on doing, or what they are TRYING to do. The fact of the matter is, your NOT getting results. PRK is slipping in a hole, it will NEVER get out of, short of armed resistance.
Fact of the matter is, people from your state ACCEPT what has happened (and what will surely CONTINUE to happen), and when you come here "don't forsake us", we know full well, you folks blow smoke.
That is not to say, people there DON'T belive in freedom. It is to say, people there ACCEPT living in bondage.
I, like Highball, am sick of "sugar coating" responses. People don't get "it" and no matter how nice I can be, it won't change peoples ignorace about things. The BS talk spewed by some, angers me, and I give an appropriate response IMO. [:(!]0 -
Please answer the question;
quote:Do you support state/federal controls on firearms ?
This is directed at all that feel that obeying yet another law is a good thing...and demanding that I, too, obey their bitter defeat.0 -
I see direct correlation between those that believe all Californians are weak and those that blindly believe more gun laws mean less violence. Both have determined, in their own minds, what reality is. I refuse and denounce both positions. 0 -
quote:Both have determined, in their own minds, what reality is. I refuse and denounce both positions.
So we are supposed to bow to YOUR 'reality' ? Determined in your own mind ?
Now..to address the "all Cafornians" statement...I am sure that ALL californians are not 'weak.'
I am sure that there is the normal 3% of men left in that state that is still willing to uphold the Constitution when it is time...
You damn sure can bet that NONE that support federal gun laws will be among that 3 %....
The same 3%, by the way, that fought the War for Independence.0 -

I frequented that forum for some time, while living in CA. And found not one but a ton of "elitist" gun owners or at least those who submit, as a matter of fact, the majority. Known on that moved to CO and while making an ad to sell a firearm face to face in CO that person said he wouldn't sell to anyone but people possessing a CO CCP or those of LE. If that's your idea of "fighting" then... well you have what you have there. If you can find ONE person who wouldn't compromise over there, maybe then there's something to discuss about supporting the cause in said state. I am yet to run into one.0 -
Rockatansky;
Thank you.
Always refreshing to hear the other side of the story.
Just ONE REASON I hammer on that question I always ask .. and that reason is...I have absolutely no sympathy for those that support gun laws...then start whining when more laws are piled on top of other laws.
Those people get EXACTLY what they deserve .. MORE GUN LAWS !!
The ONLY thing that pisses me off is...those idiots drag ME...and other individuals .. into the cesspool with them.
One question will separate the mentally challenged from those sane and balanced individuals that form the core of America;
DO YOU SUPPORT STATE/FEDERAL GUN LAWS ?!!.0 -
No no, thank YOU, Highball.
One question though, as I support ONE gun law -- the 2nd, does that count as being pro-gun control?
0 -
I guess we are all disposable have a nice life up there on your high horse. There will come a day when you need our help and we will be there for you. I wont waste anymore bandwidth here trying to tell you that we are fighting back and winning. We could use support but it is not imperative to our cause. I just remembered why I left here in the first place. 0 -
quote:One question though, as I support ONE gun law -- the 2nd, does that count as being pro-gun control?
Only in the mind of a TrFox type.
Those types .. desperately seeking to drag others into the pit of hell in which they are standing...are able somehow to equate a dealer refusing to sell a weapon to a 9-year old child as somehow being a `gun law'.
Thereby revealing the stark difference between reality and some alternate world where government are to be trusted and revered.
Personal responsibility, in other words, suddenly morphing into overriding governmental control on EVERYBODY...
All I have EVER asked of the Trfoxes of the world is to read and understand the REASON behind the Second Amendment..CONTROL OF TYRANNY..and understand that reason is REPUGNANT to ANY governmental controls on weapons.
It appears our California residents ALSO do not understand that oh-so-terribly complex equation .. and also why, as in the last poster, they refuse to participate in forums like this.
All I and others ask is for support of the Second Amendment .. as you support it.
That appears to be too much to ask...as others ask us to please crawl even LOWER to the ground to beg permission to own a gun .. as THEY feel comfortable to do.0 -

Instead of getting defensive a wise man would have thought about what you're being told but instead you got discussions in the following manner:
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=111435
The point is that you people are not fighting in any way, but rather adopting and complying, aka bending over, hence the reaction to ya'll.
Here's the "2nd Amend. Politics and Laws" forum:

I don't see anything but bleeing.
But oh well, I am pretty sure the country will do just fine without your help, most of those whose help would have been welcomed have left PRK a while ago already.0 -
Don't waste your breath on these armchair quarterbacks. Everytime there is a California forum these same clowns chime in about what they would do if it were them. You and I live it and fight it and they just talk. Its funny, for a group that hates California so much they sure like to talk about it. You want to call us all whiners, come stand in front of me and say it. quote:Originally posted by ivanimal

What? you gonna pay for my plane ticket to do it? You wanna pay for it, I will stand in front of you and call you a WHINER. WHAT exactly, are you doing to remove gun laws? How many have you gotton OFF the books?
PRK is just that, the peoples republic. You get what you all choose.
Just because you folks are OK with bowing to your masters, don't blame us for pointing it out. You don't like the chains of bondage, fix it then. Stop running off at the head about what you all are TRYING to do, just get something done allready.0 -
