SHOTGUN / RIFLE REGISTRATION

I live in Michigan. If I buy a shotgun or rifle from a private party, and dont register it, will the government know I bought it. Will it be registered in the original purchasers name or does the seller register it in my name after leave. Also, does the seller do a background check, or do I need any permits. P.S. I am not going to do anything illegal with it. Its just that the democrats are starting to worry me.

  I am an Indiana resident. I feel sorry for you. I moved from Michigan 15 years ago.
  I wouldn't even want to fathom, what liberal laws are on the books now.

  I guess what Ohioans say about Michigan is true, then. North til you smell it, west until you step in it.
