Yes they don't Jeff, and there in lies the problem. Many of those who REFUSE to see the 2nd Amendment as it is written are NOW in power, and they are going after it and those who support it with a vengeance like we have not seem in our life time. YOU may find yourself, as I did, having to take a stand which could jeopardize your current position in LE. I pray it don't come to that, but with what is going on in our world today it could.
I pray you don't find yourself in this position, but if you do let me know and I will do what ever I can to help! [:(]

That is what it means, so why didn't they just say it that way???[?]

Well is this not the real meaning of the 2nd Amendment????[?]

If the communist liberal democratic party gets elected to the presidency and takes control of congress, we are under absolutely no obligation to cooperate with ANY un-Constitutional and illegal legislation that would ban any firearms whatsoever, we have every right to own what we like within reason and if it takes a civil war to achieve then so be it. The democrats see fit to afford rights for baby murderers and queers, but wont allow gun owners to have firearms or the selection thereof which is astronomically stupid and beyond comprehension. Like I have said in another post I and several others which are growing in numbers will absolutely not follow these communist and totalitarian laws and neither should you and if you do you are empowering them by doing nothing, the more people revolt the better, if they want civil war then lets oblige them.

Can I enlighten you as to one little fact you seem to have overlooked in your insane rant?

    June 12, 2008
Mr. KIRK (for himself, Mr. CASTLE, Mr. FERGUSON, and Mr. SHAYS) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

This bill was sponsored by Rep. Mark Kirk, Rep. Christopher Shays, Rep. Mike Castle and Rep. Mike Fergueson. Care to guess what these four Congressmen have in common? THEY ARE ALL REPUBLICANS.

That's right, this bill was written and sponsored by Republicans. So take your guns, and turn them on the Republican Party.

First off its not an insane rant, second you couldn't enlighten yourself, like I said democrats; any republicans that follow suit with them are rinos as they are all the same and can call themselves whatever they want although its not going to help them as they are all traitors to the Constitution, but don't worry as they will all get a fair trial by a Confederate Court; I shouldn't have to explain everything nor identify each one as we already know who they are, if its not to your liking don't read it. Interesting how these little trouble making trolls get so high and mighty from behind their little computer screens with their only intention to sling their little insults and be part of the problem, and usually its some kid that lives at home full of ridiculous claims and delusions of grandeur, probably with multiple usernames, and from their other posts this person supports the liberal cause.

Jeff explain the difference between the liberal/progressive and the collective mentality, please.[?]
I am a realist who believes in the 'traditional' values I grew up with, how about you? You made a comment about your 'hillbilly' back ground? This is a good thing, not a bad thing!!![;)]

Jim, do some research on Collectivism vs. Individualism. That will point you to where your focus needs to be.

Suffice it to say that "collectivism" comes from the Republican and democrat wings of the party and from the purported "conservative" and "liberal" persuasions.

I don't really want to get into any lengthy posts today. I have summarized the issue on these forums previously and a GB search of the same topic should yield that explanation.

Here is a link that illustrates many examples of each and may shed light on the issue.

    http://freedomkeys.com/collectivism.htm

I am a realist who believes in the 'traditional' values I grew up with, how about you?

I am indeed a realist and believe in traditional values. The values/principals of individualism are what this nation was founded on and how I was raised.

You made a comment about your 'hillbilly' back ground? This is a good thing, not a bad thing!!!

Never implied anything bad about it Jim. I am extremely proud of my roots and my upbringing.[^][;)] I wouldn't have it any other way.

Just goes to show, seemingly, that it takes a life surrounded by and living those ideals, to produce a solid individualist, freedom loving, Republic supporting person.

Seems as if those raised, surrounded by and nurtured by our collectivist "New American" ideals and beliefs, by and large fail to become solid freedom loving, Republic supporting people.

This is the main reason that I am so adament about not showing any acceptance of a watered down, or perverted version of what the Republic is about and what it was founded on.

I learned my lessons and arrived at my positions through life, abstract and objective study and education about these issues.[;)]

    Thanks Jeff,
That link is what I wanted to see. It points out, in a lot more words, what I believe in. I do see some room to work with in the confines of 'individualism' which some of your associates do not. I do not see where it points out the super ridged, 'everything or nothing' position many here advocate is a requirement to be an 'individualist'. So from what I read I am an individualist to the max. If you recall from your contacts at the CSPD this is why I didn't get promoted and nearly lost my job/pension.
If you want to talk semantics, the liberal/progressive person is one who believes in and supports the 'collective' agenda. So when I say this is the problem I am not wrong, just not saying it in the same way you are. I do see what you are saying about all the political party's being a part of this. I have said that for MANY years.
We are on the same sheet of music here, except I don't feel the need to alienate, insult, and call people enemies and cowards just because they do not see the light YET!!!
    Thanks again Jeff.[8D]

Glad you found the link on collectivism vs. individualism to be of interest. Lots of food for thought there.

    It is what it is.

Yes Jeff, it is what it is!!![^]
But according to the link I have been an individualist for most of my life, starting in grade school. I have ALWAYS considered the right of the individual over the collective!!! I guess when you come from the 'have not's' you are either a very stanch individualist or a welfare case![;)]
And I am not a welfare case YET![}:)]
By the way, a 'strongly stated opinion' has nothing to do with insulting and name calling those whom you disagree with!
