Good stuff. I enjoy reading it every time. The problem, I think, nowadays is not the comprehension of 2A by "intellectuals" (self-proclaimed of course) but rather their desire to try to deny people the right and reduce it to privilege, not without success.

I have had numerous conversation with fairly smart and educated people in CA that perfectly understand what 2A says, however, they don't trust armed populace and sincerely believe it should be a privilege, primarily limited to law enforcement and armed forces.

Imo, that is what politicians are going to aim for since they failed to convince the public that firearms in hands of citizens somehow contribute to crime, but they'll work towards a society where the people cannot be trusted to be responsible for their actions, and it's not only in regards to 2A, but pretty much anything else. We might be on the brink of Soviet Socialist States of America.

    Awesome read.

I like one simple quote (of many I enjoy, but this one fits here so bear with me) - Never trust a government that doesn't trust it's citizens to be armed.

I like the quote (don't recall who made it famous)
"Always love your country, but never trust your government"![;)]
