I was wondering if any vets have read the novel The Things They Carried. I have read this book (also short stories from the book) in several classes and just wanted to get a feel for what vets think of this book/author.

  I haven't read "Carried" but Going After Cacciato (also O'Brien) is one of a handful of books I've liked about the war.
