The last spincast I ever used was a Shakespeare Synergy and it worked well.

I slid on over to Bass Pro this afternoon and picked up a Daiwa 40SC Procaster. This little reel feels good on the rod, and is all metal for $24.00. I got a practice plug to try it out tomorrow when I get home from work to see how far I can cast out with it.

I still use Zebco reels and rods for bullheads (horned mudpout). The old 33 and 202 still catch them.

I really like the Zebco 808 for catfishing at night,no backlash and plenty of power

Whatcha fishing for? I use the Okuma and Shimano reels for Steelhead and Salmon. Both great. Okuma less expensive. Both have multiple ball bearings and smoooooth drags.

I was looking for a general purpose spincaster for bass and larger. Thanks.
