    The first thing you should do is go to the store and try to exchange it.

    If you bought a new set of goodyear tires, the next day drove down the street and had a sidewall failure, you would go back to the tire shop, not contact goodyear directly, right?

    I know that makes sense. Not to argue but gas is dissappearing like Kyle Busch's Championship dreams.

    Took it back to store and they swaped it right out. No problem[:D][:D]

    Go to the store, let them handle replacing it for you. Daiwa makes a good reel they hold up well. I use several of their salt water models and found that if I have had problems parts can be found. I talking about some reels that are 10 years old or older.
    Their rods are new to me.
