Concealed gun laws in TX

I'm brand new to guns and still debating on what gun I should start off with at the shooting range. People probably ask this all the time, I just feel too lazy to search this topic.

Is it legal for me to carry a gun in my vehicle without a liscense? BTW I am eligible to purchase a gun.


any help would be great, thanks.

  Yes, as of sept. 2008 tx extended imminent domain to include your vehicle as long as it concealed. Guns and lazy don't go good together. Welcome to the forums.

  Thanks alot for the answer, been wondering since I started to look into guns. How concealed does it have to be? Sorry for stupid questions, again im fairly new to guns, I just feel it's better to ask then not to.
