from my cousin this morning, the guy who bought our hunting lease is giving us till the end of the month to get our treestands out. My cousin and few other friends are going out to the cabin tonight and "remove" them tomorrow. I asked him if I needed to bring anything, he said just your chainsaw, and plenty of beer! gonna be an exciting day tomorrow, four old farts with beer and chainsaws, what could go wrong.............

Was out at a favorite fishin hole in Johnson Creek, had the ATV parked up on the bank about 50 yards away. Heard a tree fall and rushed up the bank to see a tree had fallen onto the the ATV.
Two things:
- If a tree falls in the forest does it make any sound? Yeah a little, but not as much as the cursing owner makes as he cuts that tree into little kindling with the chainsaw that the tree missed.
- In Idaho almost 3/4 of the state is public land, and a lot is National Forest, so why does a tree, in the middle of that forest have to fall on my ATV? Inquiring minds want to know.

Actually, Trees do have a sense of humor! You'd need one of those seismic measuring devices mentioned in another recent topic to hear all of those surrounding live tree roots laughing their trunks off at such an incident! 😲 😆
