Anyone else still getting snow?

It was -10F this weekend and I'm getting an inch of new snow every day since. Gawd, I'd love to see some warm weather! This is making me crazy. Looking at tickets to Fort Lauderdale tonight. Crazy?     YUP! As I write this, it is snowing outside. We (fortunately) have had some fairly nice warm(er) weather most of this month but Michigan will always turn on you day by day.


    Nanuq, I had a buddy once that was getting crazy sick of our winter weather. He had just received a new credit card with a very lucrative borrowing limit. He left work on a Friday and met up with several other friends (not me) at a local tavern where he commenced to getting himself wasted. He bought drinks for the house as well (I was told).


    Anyway, from there he along with his party of friends ended up at the airport boarding a flight to Hawaii. All first class (I was told) That guy sure could put away a lot of booze! He also did a good job of maxing out that credit card!

    I've got 10 tomato sets I planted last week. I'll be planting 7 or 8 more tomato sets today or tomorrow. If I could I would send you some of this warm weather as long as you promised to send me some of your cool weather in July and August!! 😁

    We had gusts to 54 here at my house, and to 84 a few miles south of me, plus 3" of sideways snow. Power out for three hours before dawn. Looking calmer today - winds are only 20ish.

    Edit to add: It's snowing here right now. It won't accumulate much, but it's water we so desperately need.

    Had some wet flakes here in mid-Michigan this morning. Unfortunately there is a reason why I don't do any planting until it's a lot closer to memorial day.😣 Bob

    Plenty of snow in the air here on Michigan's sunset side. Last week it was in the upper 70s so the ground is warmed enough so it's not sticking - at least so far. We never plant anything outside here before Memorial Day.

    I am going to set out some tomato plants in the next couple of weeks.The blackberries have not bloomed here yet and we usually have a cold spell about that time.

    Way up here in New York on the Vermont border...winter storm warning. I've busted ice out of the bottom of my John boat in the middle of May..

    Woke to 1 1/2" on the valley floor and still a little sifitng down.

    Sure to be a few more days like this before Memorial Day, and maybe a few after, just depends on Mother natures moods.

    Ahhhhhh, so it's not just us Mother Nature is trying to frostbite. Makes me feel better. Misery loves company?

    The ever-lovely Ms. Nanuq is talking about us flying to Indiana around May 1st so we can swim on the beaches of the Great Lakes. Is she nuts? She's heard it's just like Hawaii. I think it will be more like the Polar Plunge.

    Calling for 3-5" overnight. The only good thing about snow this time of year is that it will melt away in a day or two. Weather along Lake Erie can be interesting, I mowed the lawn in shorts yesterday...
