know its not a golf forum............
but kinda suprised not a mention of Tiger by now. love him or hate him he is a great golfer, but it looks like this latest accident may keep him tied with ole sam snead. not only back trouble but now crushed legs, if he makes it back to regular tour I will have to admit he's a hell of a man. though I could see him make it back to the senior tour in a few years............

They moved Tiger to Ceders Sinai to recover. I have seen reports he may not walk with full strength again and his family is worried he is going to get hooked on pain pills again too.
The guy was a great golf but his life has been a complete train wreck with most of it self inflicted.

I could go on with a continue to my post about my sons wrecked car and traffic ticket. It was a real bad winter that year. I had to drive my son to school for a couple weeks while his car was being fixed. One morning the roads were black ice and slicker than snot. I had made the trip to his school OK but on the way home as I was coming up on a traffic light, it turned yellow. I was going less than 20 mph and tried to brake. My car kept going and I slid through the intersection with no problems with others. The light actually didn't turn red until I was at least half way through.
Anyway, I had a cop follow me several blocks to the next lighted intersection when he hit his lights on me. I pulled over into a safe area off the road and unbuckled my seat belt to get into my back pocket for my wallet. My anticipation was just a bit of my downfall! The cop not only gave me a ticket for the light but also for not wearing my seat belt!!!!!
My son had not even had his day in traffic court and I ended up having to join him.
Never had any problems with our local police force for all of my years here but for some reason they just decided to hit up on me and mine that winter!

Considering his history of back problems...I would bet that pain pills were involved...

Well, I would never unbuckle my belt until they see that it is on and never would I be fumbling around while the police are not up to the vehicle yet. Just my opinion.
Regards to the OP , he has enough cash to do whatever, know it would be hard to get out of the spotlight for a time but I would take that yacht and tell the skipper to shove off after he gets out.

I am as far away from a golf fan as possible , but he was/is in the news too often not to notice . from what I have gathered he was one of the best to paly , I would think he has enough money to make several life times . sad he may not compete but personal appearances endorsement's and so on will still have a way better life than many
I wish him well and like stated his personal life has seemed to be a train wreck

I don't wish ill will on Tiger. He has had his share of problems, as have all of us. Better believe that when he went to the hospital blood was drawn for toxicology.
He has the money for top notch care. Maybe his career is over. Maybe he can play on the senior tour in a few years. I only wish him good luck.

Most of the once great golfers had careers as product sponsors, golf coarse designers, authors, and even actors when they were no longer in the game. I also note that many estates of long dead celebrities still make millions of dollars annually to this day.

Woods is reportedly the first pro golfer to have a net worth exceeding a billion dollars, the majority of which came from big-name sponsor contracts. Many of those sponsors dropped him like a hot 9-iron when his habitual filandering and infidelity came out. By then, he had already collected hundreds of millions from them - and some big sponsors remain yet. That's over and above his actual winnings, which have to total a few hundred million. He has made his agents and accountants very, very rich men.

My bet would be on texting and driving

I like him a lot more as a struggling golfer then when he was in his hey day. I actually cheer for him now and he has done a ton of stuff for the golfing world. But one thing I'll tell you is I would never get into a car that he was driving.

It was said that Alex Smith would never play football again either. I wouldn't count Woods out just yet.
