Same thing here only I told him my Daily driver was a 1950 Henry J. He told me he didn't understand. I said its a Henry J made by Kaiser in 1950 what is not to understand?

He hung up and they haven't called back in 2 days, I pray I am off their list.

Two of those calls this morning, plus one from Social Security" saying that my Social Security account has been suspended and warning me that if I don't call back, my SS number will be deleted from the system. Hurray! No more income taxes!

Yep I told the guy I had an orange '74 Chevy Vega and he tried to deny me and I insisted I only had 5 more payments and needed the warranty, it is my daily driver when I'm not to stoned and the 8 track rocks out loud enough that the windows rattle.... He hung up as he cursed miserably about me waiting HIS time. 🤣

After they give me their callback number, for when I lookup all my vehicle info...I call them and when they answer I yell, "NO HABLA ESPANOL!"

The are so nice, they tell me to hold while they put a Spanish-speaker on the phone.

I yell, "SPEAK ENGLISH, I'M IN AMERICA!"

That poor Spainish-speaker accidently hangs up on me.

I wait a hour then try again. (Come on, man! I'm retired!)

I seem to always tire of this game before they figure out how to block my call.

When I can't sleep I call and leave a message - "NO HABLA! NO HABLA!"

My wifes says I'll get in trouble, but, dangit, they asked me to call them!

Almost every day I get a call from those fools. I just block them with my phone, then they call me on my cell phone, so I block them there too. If I get a call, my wife will get one a few hours later on her cell phone. They keep calling from a different number and I keep blocking them.

The worst part of it is eventually I have to dump all the blocked numbers because the phone will only hold 100 blocked numbers. Then I start the whole thing over again.

I get the calls from "social security," 1800 service, and various other scammers every day.

None of this happened until we got hughes.net as our interweb and phone service. They will sell your number to any jackass that will pay them for it. 😬

    EXACTLY.

When they said my SS account was going to be "frozen," I said, "That's Great!!"

    Hello? Hello?

If it is a car warranty salesman I say I am glad they called and offer to sell them a Medicare supplement plan and vice versa. So far no takers. Bob

THEY DO NOT NEED YOUR PHONE NUMBER. They use a computer to dial 222-2221, then 222-2222, then 222-2223, etc.

You can mess with them (I drive a 1985 F-150, so I can play the "What do you mean I can't get a warranty???" thing)- or just hang up.

Or learn how to cuss in Urdu or Hindi. Found I can get the Social Security scammers into a screaming rage by saying things in Urdu about their sister.

Unfortunately, there are many who fall into their liar😮

My Aunt, with Alzheimer's, was very concerned when she got their threatening letter and was preparing to send them a check to preserve her warranty. She explained to me how important it is to an older, helpless lady.

I had a tough tiime convincing her she had sold her car 2 years ago and it's warranty had expired 12 years before that!

She fell for the medical devices scam and got a chincy back brace she did not need. See keeps saying, "It was free!" Several of those low-lifes now call her daily wanting her medicare info.

I wish I could get my hands on these scammers.

They also call with the "Alzheimer" scam. They will call with a survey & ask what TV shows you watch. Then call back in a week to see if you remember them calling. If you don't, you're ripe for the picking.

    Yeah, copy that.

My Silverado is two years old my wife's Lexus is one year old, both have extended warranties, combined, we get about four to five calls a week saying that our warranties are about to run out.

This is terrible news especially since I just received a call last week informing me that the federal government has an arrest warrant out for me, lucky for me we were able to straighten everything out on the phone, I just had to confirm my SS number and birth date and that was it .............. guess I dodged that bullet.

My landline equipped with answering machine gets on average 15 calls a day lately. Very few of these calls leave messages and I never answer if the incoming number isn't known. The messages have been mostly selling Medicare supplement insurance with a car warranty thrown into the mix rarely.

I have never applied for any supplements anywhere, so someone has sold my info including my birthday to the wolves!

Between these calls and the constant bombardment of TV commercials I have a special dark place set aside for these snake oil salesmen!
