Not me. Kind a wondering how much longer they'll keep this going, myself. I figure with the last bit of "purge" they're like what (seriously) 20 people posting? 0 -
Allegedly- for fifty bucks a year of you are a gold member they will actually provide customer support when needed. Like deadbeat bidders and such.

Been a gold member since it first came out...not worth it... 0 -
Yes, it is worth it. You get a pretty cool prize for joining.....the last thing I got was a multi tool that lives in my desk drawer and I use it all of the time. Before that I got a giant range bag that was quickly snagged up by my husband and I haven't seen it since. You get the LIVE CHAT feature for your customer support issues. You get links to SUPER deals on listings like..... https://www.gunbroker.com/Item/875259315
Plus, at Christmas they have a 12 days of Christmas event where you get to buy cool Gun Broker items for $1. I have to say its worth it to join.0 -
I got that the first year I joined, after that, nothing but a $25 voucher to the gb store...Locust Fork said:Yes, it is worth it. Go spend that money.....I'll pick out what I want if you don't plan to use it. I'd look FAB in one of those floppy hats they have now.toad67 said:

I tried to spend it a month or so ago... I ordered a nice gb logo'd tervis cup for $15, and figured I'd have $10 more to spend. My cup has never showed up, and my code is no longer valid. So I spent $40 to have a nice big gold "G" next to my user name... No thanks GB...Locust Fork said:

Does anyone have information on Accessing Gold Member benefits? Every reference I can find is how to purchase it and get all the great benefits, not one of which I can cause to occur. Pretty sure this is not how it is supposed to work, anyone here know how to get into the secret gold member bat cave?

Waiting till after the New Year to see . Perks.

The best perk is you cannot be banned from the forum. Haha!
And you get into the GB dance for free.

Like the silly people who pay to shop at Sam's Club or Cosco. I find most things at Sam's Club are cheaper at the Wal-Mart which is only a few blocks away. The gas is cheaper but the lines are not worth it especially for my motorcycle. I did like the hot dog & coke deal but now you can't sit down & eat them. I tried it once & got a card that covered the $45 fee but found the membership nearly worthless.

Its nice to be exempted from these costs as a 4 star forum member.

I was a founding member, and GB never ever bought us a barn. Or even an outhouse.

I remember it mohawk600 . I never was awarded a jacket though. While we are speaking of stars, what are they and how are they awarded? Maybe number of posts, years on the forum, playing nice with others, or ?

Stars are based on all of that, as well as amassing a certain number of points. Despite my pleas for a forum instruction manual- or at least a directory of terms, this has never been explained, but it appears that members need a minimum for 500 points to rate 4 stars. Points are awarded getting "likes" or LOL's, as well as for such mundane tasks such as changing your avatar photo (for those who have one). These points accumulate and then, thanks to some mysterious system which includes badges, stars are awarded.

I use my stars to hold up my pants. And everyone is thankful I have them.

Badges?
What are badges?

I just love coming back out of the woodwork! (Aug. 2020). Why have the dates of the posts been deleted?

A well known mod says he has no clue how stars are awarded.
All of a sudden I jumped from 3 to 4. As I posted on another thread I ain't been on the form side very long, no where 500 of anything. A former member, emphasis on former, even gave me an abuse award.😮
Maybe it has to do with the number of times you get a robo call asking about you expiring car warranty. 🤨

I like stars.
In Sturgis the ladies had stars upon thars, and that was all. 😲 😉
