    It's beyond disturbing. Wouldn't even take his knee off his neck to let another officer check his pulse when he was unconscious.

    It is, @redneckandy . I'm guessing the folks who don't understand the riots are just a bunch of unaffected NIMBYs that don't have the balls to raise their voice if it was their own son being killed.

    Yea, we should all riot and burn, loot, rape, rob and steal because of this. The event will come to fruition but give it some time, like a week before you start on some rant about "nutless" members here. Sure it was terrible, just like thousands of things that went on in the world today with no fanfare.

    Feel free to quote where I said we should all riot. Seems to me I threw a rock over the fence and the dog that got hit, barked.

    We don't need no stinkin' laws! You're right! We all need to go to a local Target store and loot it and then burn it to the ground since it appears that's the acceptable thing to do.

    I'm disturbed that when when a bunch of cops show up and say, "You are under arrest." anyone would chose to fight with the cops rather than reply, "Yes sir!", put their hands behind their back, wait for the cuffs, then let the nice officer help them into the car., knowing there will plenty of time, later, to call their lawyer.

    White cops kill black man on camera. Rioting ensues. Cops were wrong, rioters are wrong.........but is anyone surprised?

    murder 1...ALL 4 of em.....       and all three of em down south.....and i am waiting for a white guy to get killed so i can go loot and steal and arson several of my small town stores....it's my RIGHT, isn't it ?????

    Totally different situation.  It appears to me Philando was fully cooperative with the officer but got shot by a cop that should have never been a cop.  He thought he had a couple of robbery suspects and did not have the (for lack of a better term) the mental capacity to process the situation.

    I'm hesitant to believe the facts, that both suspects were black and both cops were non-black, somehow contributed to either death.
    Questioning this situation is the right thing to do.
    Investigating this situation is the right thing to do.
    Protests may be called for when authorities are "blind" for whatever reason.
    Prosecuting the actors, if the facts warrant it, is the right thing to do.
    Rioting is not the right thing to do.

    From what I saw the cop with his knee on his neck murdered that man MURDER 1.  The other cops are MURDER 2 by helping the kneeling officer commit the murder.  The riots are a very separate issue from the murder of the accused man we just saw on the video.  What would you feel if the dead guy was your son or brother.

    I wonder if anyone thought to call the police.  Getting on the phone with those guys' supervisor might have changed something.  Even if you got some other units on the scene, they might have talked some sense into those four.  They should be locked up for murder.

    A murderer, and accessories to murder is what the cops are IMHO.
    The rioters are,......well, the same as they always are. One has nothing to do with the other.

    Based on the Georgia murder charges if the cops in Minneapolis are charged with murder will the people who recorded video also be charged?

    I agree each is it's own event.   This an example of actions have consequences, often unintended ones.   The consequences will keep happening.

    I do not agree with burning and looting private property.   But I also know the Boston Tea Party was a riot.   In America the people are responsible for the government, that makes everything a target for protest, not just government property.

    from the video I have seen countless times and heard about ten times that amount yes it was wrong and th eofficers should be held accountable in court as the law provides and on face value its not going to end well for them 
     or do we give in to vigilantism mob rules .   and show no respect for  the laws or any ones property so I guess target and auto zone and many more across the country should pay for the actions of four LEO ,,
     sure make sense to me 
        
      
       so how many think if gun owners  ( in a fantasy world got together )  protested  in the same manner  about the 2nd amendment or unjustified arrest  ,, just started  looting ,burning ,robbing and wrecking private property  blocking highways along with  injuring and  killing other's  even take over a police station and set it on fire  for starters 
       the big boys would just set back and let it play its self out  and say well its there right to protest for god sake dont shoot or harm one of the protesters  and the hollywerds would step in and promise to pay there fines and bail

    there is a sh*tload more information to be gleaned about this case.  just today it was revealed cop  and victim both worked at the same bar.  where will that lead in the direction of guilt or innocense? i will wait to pass judgement till the investigation has concluded,  or the trial has finished.  trial by media is not an option

    No, the video of the jogger getting shot was a participant in the chase, no police were there.  In this death the cops killed the man and those videoing the scene were exercising their first amendment right to video in public places.  They were bystanders, not involved in the crime they captured.

    The police should be charged, there is no question.
    The case is interesting, however.
    Floyd is 5 years (appx.) out of prison for an armed home invasion.
    Floyd and Chauvin appear to have known or known of each other, as both were bouncers at the same time at the same bar:

    Apparently Chauvin, along with what looks to be a problematic record on the force, could not handle the pressures of being a bouncer either.

    Gut reaction is that Chauvin is nothing but a punk who has a history of abusing his authority and this time it (hopefully) will be his final downfall and permanent removal from society.

    Have no idea if Floyd was knowingly trying to pass a bad bill.  Have no idea if he was actually getting his life back together, and I don't care.  Absent exculpatory information that does not seem to be available, his past does not matter other than perhaps it may have scared these four little boy cops.

    I have no idea why he was arrested in the first place or what he did prior to the arrest. I do see on video that clearly the police had control of the suspect and didn't have to smash his face into the pavement with his knee, especially for that amount of time. If during the process of handcuffing the guy who may or may not have been struggling that may or may not be an acceptable procedure to gain control but I don't think ANYONE could argue that the officer had any need to continue mashing his face into the pavement.
    That said in this day and age it begs a larger question WHY? Why would any officer do that? Why didn't the other officers stop it? Clearly we need to examine why a police officer would shoot a person, choke a person Etc. without due cause.
    I pray it isn't due to his skin color, even black officers have been guilty of mistreating black suspects.
    Perhaps the power of the badge or perhaps fear, I don't know but it is unacceptable for humans to be killed or treated in that manner.
    As far as the riots go, grow a pair and target the cops, the government but not the stores, stealing TVs isn't going to further your case with the American public, take your fight to the enemy if you want to have a fight. My .02
