I know what you mean! I have attended 3 funerals this month, and after the first one, decided to wear my hearing aids that I seldom wear any more. After spending $3000, I HATE wearing them because the microphone is on the rear. If I wanted to hear someone sneaking up behind me, they would be fine. With a mask on, the elastic interferes with the tubes going into my ears.

I sat in the front pew at the last funeral I attended.  I was on the Color Guard and it was my duty to present the Flag to the widow.  Of course, I was wearing a mask because the sign said the family requested that I do.  I did NOT have anyone in the family ask me to do so.

Less than six feet to my front and left the soloist was singing her heart out - - - without a mask.  A little further away (20 feet?) to my front and right the preacher was . . . well . . . preaching.

I presented the Flag and went outside to give commands to the rifle squad.  Naturally, we did NOT wear masks.

Yep, in another 30 years they will be looking through the photo albums and trying to figure out just what the heck we were doing.  They will not be able to ask anyone because everybody on the planet will be dead.  (Yea, I don't know how that will work either.)

pretty much the way the funeral was military guy, preacher got a little long winded and I would guess 2/3 or more of those in attendance pulled their masks down or off as it just got to hot to breath in them. preacher never put one on, and graveside the pallbearers were the only ones wearing them, it rained the whole drive to the cemtery and just as we got out of car it stopped, bet we hadn't been back in car 2 minutes afterward and rain started again say what you will but that was a very strange coincidence....
