when I worked construction in the 70"and early 80"s
people drove in walked in rode bikes in . hell even the other workers would get in a hurry and forget and drive in , never a good thing especially for the cement finishers .
we were doing a side walk in front of the Dayton convention center and just finished a side walk section had all the barricade's up about lunch time a nice dressed lady came walking up ask a co worker can I walk on it he said sure ,, :twisted:
she took about three or four steps or so in up over her ankles ruined hew shoes and she yelled ( add in a bit of profanity ) you said I could walk on it , he replied yes you can walk your choice and free country but I did not say it was dry and ready to be walked on :shock:
just one of many funny times that broke up the boring days .
another I was not on the sirte but several friends were doing a pour a gal ask if she could have some put in the trunk of her car so her husband could use it later thet day to repair a side walk .. sure lady back your car over here .... next day she was back of course the concrete and set up she was mad she thought it would say wet and ready to use all day , and finely and and ask how do I get it out
