1892 Question
I have a fascination with 19th century lever action, single shot, single action, and other various 19th century rifles and pistols and reproductions.
I am purchasing a new manufacture 1892 lever action made by Miroku (with a tang safety) and note it has a steel endcap.
Reviewing pictures, I see 1892s with barrel bands and 1892s with steel endcaps.
What determined which a rifle would have?
BTW a Marbles rear sight will be installed over the tang safety.

Barrel bands were used for Carbines and Muskets. The "Rifle" variation used the steel end cap on the forend stock. 0 -
Thank you Bert. This thing is being marketed as a short rifle. 0
