no common sense is a constitutional right......let em all cluster and die.....seen vids of the lines formed from 2' to 6' apart with about half wearing their lifeline masks ??? people sent to prison for multimillion dollar crimes and violence against society released to make room for those arrested for not following social distancing....  congress passing trillions of dollars of pork bills while some EU countries deal with it on sharp social plans at minimal spending.......maybe CV causes insanity

Wow, the visible grasping of straws when there is no logical plan. Sad to consider that plain ignorance will be the cause of many more lives lost in the immediate future. We can anticipate tens of thousands of properties going to market in the coming months from those no longer occupying them (because they died). Market prices will likely be slumped for several years and property values will be reevaluated, disappointing many with high dollar mortgages. Re-fi's made in the past year will be upside down "note to value" causing many to walk away from their mortgages and homes. Looks like the courts will be loaded with cases of law suits against people trying to protect people. Just more sign of the times, everyone needs someone to blame.

The lack of a logical plan forces us to assert our Constitutional rights, Jim.  Statistics show us that there is little to no logic in continuing lock-downs for the general population.  The right of the people and of business to move forward with the protections they believe to be necessary for themselves is the logical plan for the near and long term future.  When we are told by respected scientists that we cannot eliminate government restraint until there is 1 case per million people or less, it is obvious that logic has no place in the thought processes of those scientists.  Particularly when other scientists are telling us that upwards of 60% - 70% of us will eventually be infected by this virus.
Ignorance is in the eye of the beholder, as is apparently the definition of grasping at straws.  For a surging number of Americans it has become obvious that those who support the continuation of this failed government mandated lock-down are those who are grasping at straws.
Originally the plan was to flatten the curve to minimize stress on our medical systems.  The flattened curve included as many infections as did the spike, but it just took longer.  We are now being lead to believe a fantasy that continuing the slow down of the spread will save lives and reduce infection numbers.  This can only be true if that slowing results in a delay in some parts of the country sufficiently long to allow for the creation of good remedies and/or vaccines.
A logical plan cannot wait 12+ months if that wait destroys the economic lives of the next two generations in a vain attempt to extend the lives of those who are susceptible.
I understand the emotional strength of 'if it saves lives'.  A close friend of one of my parents tested positive in a long-term care facility within the last week.  Even with the most stringent controls, somehow it appears the Covid-19 virus made it.
It will happen.  Life will find a way, as they say, and the life of this virus will speed up the end of life for a significant number of us over the next few months or years.  This will happen whether we extend the lock-downs or end them, and we frankly do not know if continued lock downs will reduce the number of deaths as you seem to believe they will.
The logical plan is to move back to a full economy, respecting as much as is possible protocols to protect the vulnerable.  We cannot be so selfish as a people to saddle our children and grandchildren with insurmountable debt and a permanently damaged economy just because a few more of us may die couple of months or a couple of years sooner than expected.

Wow! The sad old argument of "your constitutional rights end where my fear begins" is the refuge of progressives and tyrants, and has been used to great effect.
Hence, we have oppressive firearms legislation and criminalization of what the left can deem "hate speech".
We consented to defacto martial law and now (some) authorities are shocked at the impudence of freedom loving Americans who are asking the question; "what does victory look like?"

Back in the last century when the Spanish Flu was killing millions they quarantined the sick not the healthy. In my opinion the price we pay for living in a free country is putting up with other people's bad choices as they have to put up with ours. If you don't like it then there's still plenty of places to move to where the government will control every minute of your daily lives as it appears the liberals would love to have it here.

Maybe New Hampshire ought to change their license plates from Live Free or Die...to Stay Home or Die.

Someone here said millions will die! Yea, but not from covid. This circus has gone past stupid and now registers insane. This is a political ploy now end of story. The EXPERT models have not even been in the solar system let alone the ball park.
Illinois is run by a fat pig liberal and has totally crippled and vastly overreached the law. Reopen now and get the summer going. You liberals can stay home in the closet but count me out of your ignorant rhetoric.  I have lived through how many pandemics that were somehow fueled by CDC and WHO. Bottom line, follow the trillions and end up on a liberal microscope proclaiming the end.

What the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled was the governor's health secretary could not extend the the governors 60 day emergency quarantine without consulting the State Assembly and Senate.  There is a State Statute that permits up to 60 day executive emergency orders before involving the legislators.  As a side note, FWIW, the health secretary has zero medical background and is an appointee who has not been confirmed by the State Senate.

So how most of the state is open pretty much everywhere except Kilwaukee. The bars and restaurants are still be only allowed to have delivery & pick up for food. One bar on the border with Waukesha county has defied the mayor and has opened. They have been open for a day with no consequences so far.
