small lowes rant........
got a small flower bed around the flagpole in front yard, started out about 6 foot or so almost circle, more large arc as it is on an incline. grass would creep in from top, so next year, shortened it up to about 5 foot or so and made complete circle. I have run into/over the blocks while mowing and they have gotten unlevel. went out yesterday and shortened/shrank it down to about 3-4 ft. and now about 3 layers high, but am short 3 block. these are smaller curved block for wall landscaping. I know I got them at lowes a few years ago, went out this morning to pick up 3 more, these are 3" high and 8" long. Lowes now only carries 4" thick by 11 1/2" block now. went to home depot the same thing only the larger block. went to local block plant the guy there said Lowes was bad about that, the smaller size was special order for Lowes and now that they are discontinued there is no way to get more. @#$&()))^%#^& ended up getting a couple of larger ones and having to remove all of the block I have then dig down some and put the larger ones on the bottom layer and started all over. my luck, these simple projects allways end up more than they should be.......

welcome to the big box store . you only get what they get the best buy on , and that changes from quarter to quarter or when a new person dose the ordering. It sucks ! remember the local lumber yard , that was there year after year.. and the same guy helped you every time you went there . dang I miss the mom and pop busineses. 0 -
If you ever find something you like, buy a lifetime supply. They are gonna quit making it and close the plant. 0 -
LOL At the hospital they would constantly change the tp and pt and soap supplier citing a few pennies savings, I always reminded them in their proudest moment in front of the management team, well that's not counting the man hours required to replace all the dispensers and repair/replace the partitions and walls where the holes don't line up! 3 -
same thing when I was working mogley, they would spend a dollar to save a dime, yet you could never get them to admit it........ 0 -
I'm still wondering what this has to do with Lowes being small. 0
