got a good suprise......
went out the our small family cemetery yesterday, as warm as it has been figured it needed mowed, it is about 10 miles up and old dirt road in the middle of a public hunting area. maybe half the size of football field inside the fence maybe that much outside. had one very large oak, maybe 3ft+ around that has been dead now a couple years and a lot of smaller redbuds maybe in the 4-6 inch range that are dead also on the outside of fence. I have been afraid the large oak would fall on the fence and have been meaning to cut it down but with recent health issues just haven't been able to.
well as we pulled up noticed something looked different, someone had cut down the large oak, chunked it and rolled it over to the edge of the woods. they also cut down about 5-6 of the smaller dead trees and put them over in the edge of the woods. I don't know who did this as I am one of the few alive who has relatives in cemetery. some graves go back to early-mid 1800's, but none of the younger folks from any of the other families will help or even donate money for upkeep. This was a total supprise and a big relief just knowing I wouldn't have to saw them down and then wrangle them over into the woods, only about 20-25 yards but that is enough of a workout for me with my new hip. Have been running this around my head all night and still can't think of who may have done it, they didn't take wood so it wasn't for firewood. either way all I can say is thanks to whoever did it and if Karma is real, I can only hope the best for them....
