saw new tv commercial.......

  hawking face mask, one yes only one, with the copper infusion, only 19.99,  and it wasn't five minutes later nother outfit selling 10 paper masks for 29.99.  why isn't this considered gouging???? Trump outta declare that national security act on them and make them donate all masks to medical workers...........

    President Trump has far more important things on his plate than watching over gougers. He has committees and committee chairmen to watch over stuff like this. But unless I miss my guess, these folks are being overwhelmed by the insane number of greedy people and companies trying to steal from the U.S. citizens. Besides, put them out of business one day and they just pop up the next doing the same thing. Greed is a scourge.

    My beef though is that they are wasting a commodity which we as shooters and reloaders rely on for our professions and hobbies. The copper contributes nothing to the articles of clothing since it is a snake oil and simply makes folks think that it actually provides some miracle healing. It's a wasteful BS greed machine.

    If you think this is a problem ------ Maryland's governor signed a contract to buy masks from a new company, that had no employees, no location & no inventory, & paid them $6.5M DEPOSIT up front, for masks from China.  They missed their first deadline, said, "Sorry, the Chinese have put a freeze on exports."  DUH!

    It is beginning to be accepted that some metals, notably silver and copper, do posses some anti-bacterial properties. Some hospitals are using copper for some metal items that are in always in close proximity to the patients. Bed rails for example.

    Well, good for the medical industry. But that's not what we're discussing.

    Many of these snake oil businesses started out years ago (decades really) hailing the medical miracles of products with small amounts of copper in them. They would flood the airwaves with mini-infomercials touting miraculous cures while offering junk for the low, low price of $9.95 each or a special offer of two for the same price. Sound familiar? The difference now though is that the price has jumped up to $19.95 each, two for one. But the original scam is still in place. It is shear deception and fraud but no one seems to care. It is a waste of a resource in my opinion. Jail the thieves and put a stop to these shenanigans.

    wonder how that works in police work, viewing survelance vido after a crime?
    I think most of us have considered this from several angles including the rampant use of surveillance cameras on every corner in every town. It will wreak havoc on most of the facial recognition software, hopefully rendering it unusable.
    As an older and wiser women said to me while waiting in line, 'if I was wearing a mask and gloves in LA, I'd be on the ground in handcuffs!'.
