done for day.........

  kids have pretty much take/borrowed to never return most of my good work tools. I used to have pole trimmer, one of those long 10-12ft tree limb loppers, it was old and had an actuall handle you pulled to work the snipper. haven't looked for it in a long time, went to building this morning and couldn't find it so I am sure it has been acquired by one of the kids, went to lowes and got a new 12ft one. I have a small red maple right in front of my front porch I used to keep trimmed to about15-20ft.

     just got done trimming it and hauling the limbs up back to the woods, it is still pretty full and I now can see under it to driveway and mailbox.  It did do a number on my hip/lower back and neck from staring up. gonna be sore tonight........

    Yeah, I split a huge Oak stump, maybe 2' long a few days ago. It was tough. I had to work on it. Took it down to about 16 wedges (give or take) and carried it all in. I thought I was gonna die.

    Don't overdue it with your hip hillbille.

    I finally got tired of trimming with one of those lopper/saw rigs, and bought a Kobalt  40V electric from Lowe's. Best $160 I have spent in a long time. Used it here to trim lower limbs off our oaks and hickories, trimmed a fence line at my SIL's, then cleared shooting lanes on three deer stands. The battery lasts longer than I do! Did all those shooting lanes on one charge.

    I use a Sun Joe SWJ806E-HTG 2-in-1 pole chain saw to trim limbs with. I ordered it on Walmart's website for $82.77 with free shipping.
