walmart this morning

after the news about wally world limiting people  I was there at 10min to 7;00 am this morning  yup a line, one door front roped off only one entrance with a lane splitter  me and another fellow were neck and neck as we paced each other faster and faster laughing all the way too the ….you guessed it the TP ares ..only 50 6 pack rolls were there not much for restock,,saw one fellow his cart just full of mountain dew and coke

    One of ours did the same thing. Limit people inside to control "distancing" -- while people cluster together outside waiting to get in.

    I was at our WalMart yesterday and saw the one entrance. Walked up to the manager and told him that was the stupidest ideas ever conceived. Walked out and went down the street to Albertsons.

    Chased me out at 8:30 two nights ago. My fault, hearing is bad and could not hear announcement.

    We order on line, pick it up in the parking lot with our bags.  No going in among the unwashed in their PJs, fuzzy slippers, Spandex and futon sized bags of chips.  Heck, we may never go in there again.

    Went out this morning to get some tissue paper as we were out. Figured I'd hit the Dollar General store right when it opened. Heard that the small stores still had some good supply of paper goods.  That was a mistake they had nothing. Took a gamble and went to the Piggly Wiggly store, lucked out and actually snagged a 12 pack of tp. Also picked up a box of Kleenex.  I won't hit the larger stores to many people, especially at Walmart.

      They did that at our Wally Mart but quit it after a day.

    Everything was gone at our dollar general, until I asked the kid on the floor. He asked what we wanted. Just some eggs. He brought us out three dozen. A lot of stuff is being stored in the back for the elderly and people not hoarding, he stated. We were actually shopping for the elderly couple across the street. Thank god we got what they needed this week.

    Having seen the lines at local Walmart stores, I'm avoiding them. There are actually things at the Dollar General I need, like canisters of moisture absorbent, but that means one more store I'd have to go into, and another group of people to deal with (be exposed to). For the past month, I've gone to Aldi to do my grocery shopping, and no where else.

    I was out of bread and eggs yesterday and hit my local very small four corners hometown Dollar Store. They had them and I only had a distant contact with an old lady and the clerk.   I too am no longer going to shop at the busy big town supermarkets for a while.   I have enough staples and meat to sit tight for at least a month.  Longer if need be.

    We (Fire Marshal's Office) are getting complaints about the Big Box Stores closing entrances to control the number of people entering.  We have no problem with that; they can close all the entrances they want.  What they can't do is close (or block) any exits.

    Damn SC hasn't issued a stay at home order yet and we haven't seen that kind of stuff, at least I haven't Lowes hardware was packed when I drove by people getting spring flowers and such. It seems anything open is packed, matter of fact that chicken place with the eat more chikin cow had a line out the parking lot of people trying to get food. I hope we don't get worse here.

    I agree, went out for a drive today and the parking lot for Lowes in Anderson, SC was packed. We dropped off a donation at the local animal shelter but that was a non contact transaction. We are old enough so we can use the morning senior hours to get the necessities. trying for one trip a week to the grocery store until this works it way through.

      ALL tomato plants and the like picked clean at Lowes. Gardening might make a come back. And late night pickers like me, plus grabbing a chicken or two in the henhouse, I see it.

     Went in a rural one here in conn. It has long guns xcept black ones and  one way isles now with red Xs and arrows everywhere and corral out front too

    The Wisconsin humane society in town here doesn't have a cat or dog to be found. Normally  at any given time there are about 125-150 cats and dogs here. They are totally wiped out.
