It is a highly contagious virus. If you have it your wife probably does too. Yet they want her there so they can make money. You aren't contributing to their income so you gotta go. Makes sense to me. Bob

we have got to get green font back.

Funny because usually they don't want you to even leave to get a cup of coffee, a responsible person has to stay in case of emergency.
A lot of things changing fast day to day hour by hour. I went to one of my surgery centers this morning and had to be screened upon entry. That's fine, I needed to go get additional items from my vehicle to complete the work and they said I had to use the same process each time, I was like see you later until the Administrator used good sense and said NO he doesn't, he can come and go as he needs to now that he has been screened, told me to use my key and come in the back. Whew, always good when someone thinking steps in otherwise I either had to leave and probably piss them off or go all the way around every time I needed something out of the vehicle to do the job.
I guess we all will need additional patience and understanding as things morph very fast now and hopefully cooler heads prevail.

The CDC has recommended these guidelines.  Only patients and then only at appointment time.   It wasn't the dentist office staff making this decision.   Limiting social exposure is the purpose, the dentist's office either goes along with it or shuts the doors.

You should have used the opportunity to visit the bathroom and clean them out of TP!

If it is a "recommended" "guideline", does that make it a law?

If it is a "recommended" "guideline", was it also a "decision" or a law?

If the privately owned office does not follow (goes along with) the "guideline", they must stop practicing medicine?

Does the CDC have the authority to make decisions concerning other types of privately owned businesses such as banks, funeral homes, auction houses, or auto mechanics?

I can't answer your questions.   If you could look the answers up and share them with us I'm sure others, myself included, would like to know.  I was just sharing what the office was doing and that the idea didn't originate with the office staff.   Understanding why someone is doing something is helpful when determining how to deal with it.

I can help you out here: It is not a law.
A policy is just a convenient way to say "Because I said so."

A 70 year old friend was in the waiting room when the nurse called to tell him that they were cancelling routine visits for patients 70 & over. "But I'm already here?" "Oh, ok, well I guess we'll see you." He was there for an injection that he gets every 2 weeks. After a consultation, the nurse said that they would give him the medication & he could inject himself. She gave him the medication, which he orders & brings to them every 3 months, & told him to give himself the shot in the butt. After more consultation, it was determined that he could inject it into his thigh. "OK, now how do I get it from the bottle & into my thigh?" After more consultation, they gave him a single syringe. "Ok, what do I use 2 weeks from now?" After more consultation, they gave him more syringes. The really funny part is that he tried administer the medication himself a few years ago & it was not allowed.

The news media has scared the Be_jesus out of a vast majority of the idiots who believe everything they say.
That would be because what they are saying about this virus is true.  In Italy it is killing nearly 1 in ten patients that have it.

I'm with you 100% on this.  Just this afternoon the doctor's office a friend called to tell me that I couldn't accompany her and wait in the office during her visit this coming Friday.  Now I've been taking this friend to this doctor for over ten years.  They know that my friend cannot get from the car to the third floor office of this doctor without me.  So how do they think that she's supposed to get there??? Is this just a politically correct way of saying we really don't want to see any patients who might make us sick?? I don't know, and I don't know if I'll have the kind of testicular fortitude you had supporting your wife.  And yea, I agree that the media is just using this to scare every idiot out there while making themselves seem all the more important.  Notice how we haven't heard much from Nasty Pelosi or her henchmen lately.  But were sure hearing from the CDC aren't we!  Remember this is the same CDC that has been trying to get millions of dollars to study firearms as a sickness for the past 20+ years.  The CDC is part of the swamp.  This whole thing -- the virus created by the Chinese -- (remember Nasty Pelosi had a Chinese spy on her payroll for over 10 years and Quid Pro Joe's little kid made all sorts of unknown "business" deals wit the Chinese) -- along with the media circus/brainwashing and the CDC crying that the sky is falling just like chicken little -- is all part of the Demoncrap plan to get rid of Trump.
