got snowflakes......

size of quarters ground got white in less 10 minutes, news says less than a 1/4 inch total, we got that the first 10 minutes, doubt it keeps it up this hard for long, if it does we may end up with a few inches, yesterday it was almost 60, now about 28, weird thing is the roads are whiter than the yard.........

    Poured rain about 1/2 the night. (56° yesterday.) Split some dried Locust yesterday, because I knew the upcoming forecast. Dropped down to about 24° last night, very windy. Woke to about 2" snow. Been snowing/very windy all day thus far. Supposed to be around 22-23° next three nights, highs in the low 30's. (Not too far from Boone, NC.)

    had that happen back in 1981,  forecast said it would taper off,____BUT  then it started in with lightning and thunder and the snow continued its torrid pace.  24 inches of tapering off.  the area of st louis was done for  at least 3 days.
