I enjoy all the old cars running the streets of LA while they are on patrol! I read that the gal dispatching was an actual LA police dispatcher. She should be listed in that post about TV and Movie personalities that were never seen on screen!

Some of the police cruisers were 400HP AMC Matadors.

During the very late 60’s and thru the 70’s myself and my sisters and brothers all drove muscle cars . A real eclectic selection , collectively we had the following 1967 Corvette ,1970 Corvette convertible,1969 cougar convertible, 1969,70,71,72 SSChevelles. Motors were all either396 or 454. Toss in a Chevy Cheyenne pickup with a built up and cammed out 454 in it .almost forgot the fords ....1967 f100 with a 390 , 1966 fairlane 500 with the 390 police intercepted engine . Three speed on the column and 95mph in second gear,ex Norfolk va cop car . Moma has a 1971 Plymouth fury with the 440 hemi , surplus highway patrol cruiser. Those were the good old days
