You Know You Are A Bachelor When -
You look around your living room, and you have a Chainsaw, Firewood, Kindling, Axes, a yet to be installed dual exhaust for your Jeep, inner front fender well guards for the same, a Smoker, a yet to be assembled gun safe, various firearms propped up and around, a copious amount of firewood stacked in the corner. A big A$$ Fisher Grandpa model woodstove, and a Pit curled up on your couch. etc. etc.

Before I get insulted. My place is very nice. A three story super steep pitched A-frame /Ski Chalet type design. Three stories of glass windows looking out the back. Sitting on the couch, the open beamed tounge and grooved pine ceiling goes straight up 3 stories to the peak. Very open design, Mountains all around.
Been married before. (11 years.) Don't need to go through that again. I like my Freedom.

Have I mentioned the Mossy Oak Furniture covers, (to hide the Pit Bull damage, first month I had him after trying to give him the run of the house while I was gone at work for 11 hours.) :shock:
(But) Very nice sculptured full room size Persian rug, various custom made driftwood base, hardwood top tables and lamps from an Artist colony up in NY State. (Sugarloaf.) Collections from my travels around the Country. Various stained glass lighting fixtures from Artist colonies up in/on the Coast of Maine. I have very good taste. (Bachelor of Fine Art.)
My place is quite nice, very cozy.

You forgot the fact that the spare bedroom holds your other gun safe and the reloading bench . Standing in the corner is the Christmas tree , already decorated wrapped u in a sheet. 0 -

I have two upstairs bedrooms and a loft. One bedroom is totally stuffed with SHTF stuff. One bedroom is very nice for guests. The loft rarely utilized, has a bedroom set up in there, if necessary. Accessed via a 10 step ladder from the second story landing. Not easily accessed. Would be the place to sleep, in the Wintertime, with all the heat going there. Alas, my dog (Buddy) can not climb the 10 ladder rungs (verticle) needed to access the area/bedroom.
It was a bear getting the bed and furniture up to that bedroom. The single bed was the one I slept in (bunkbed) while growing up. It also has a SHTF stash up there.0 -

Don't see much wrong there but I have the world most tolerant wife.
Two questions;
What kind of safe? I am looking at one of the heavy duty assemble yourself ones to ease maneuvering to where I want to put it.
Did you ever figure out what you were going to do with your deck problems? In the next year or so I'll need to replace mine and have been looking at the man made decking materials.

This particular Safe is a First Watch. (There is another Name brand associated with it, that I am drawing a blank on.) If I can recall it, I will post it.
It assembles in pieces, bolted together from the inside. S&G electronic lock. It is rated as an "8 gun safe." You would be lucky to get 6 in it. About $150 (?) From Sportmansguide. Weighs about 150 - 200 lbs. Can be bolted to the wall/floor. An overflow unit to be mounted to the wall/floor in the Living room.
I have been lazy in assembling it. It hangs out in the Living room.0 -

My "other," upstairs bedroom is a Preppers paradise. Stuffed full of the stuff I might need, in the event the SHTF. The very few people who have been allowed access to that room have all exclaimed "Holy Crap."0 -
My deck needs a total rip off, and put together correctly game plan. Not as high on the Priority scale, as other things I have going on just now. (Unfortunately.) 0 -
the full basement is redone as sally's sewing senter........i get one room on the second floor and a dresser in first floor bedroom...she bought a new computerized sewing and embroidery machine that cost more than the last RAV4 i bought...she makes anything from personalized apparel to wedding dress, flower girls dress to drapes ..... quite skilled...i need to eliminate many farm and hobby items..... 0 -

sounds like our basement, with exception of loading bench over if far corner, wife has taken over the rest for her "crafts" which never seem to get more than half done..... and now they seem to be taking over my reloading bench also, told her once if they were on the bench that means they are targets, don't think she really believed me......0 -

I put up / hung 3 lengths of green and red #7 1/2 low brass illuminated Christmas lights...
All on the mantel - above the fireplace mixed in with some red to gold garland...
The girls like to dress up to cat. On the holidays...
This year the duck is dressed like a confederate scout including the correct sword a d flag...
I have a beer can bore all bronze cohern mortar set up in the backyard along with 3 ranging sticks
I have 3 bow stations set..
Some DAB in non return able green pint sized bottles - and some asahi extra pale extra dry
May bake a Chicago deep dish pizza casserole
