Accurate Powders Recall Notice
Just got a notice in the mail that "Western Powders" is recalling certain lots of Accurate 2495, 4064 and 4350 manufactured prior to October 1, 2016...In 1 and 8# canisters...
"The use or storage of these products may result in combustion, fire damage and/or possible serious injury or property damage. Some signs of degradation include, but are not limited to, container lid deformation, discoloration of the containers in the lid area, presence of red fumes when container lid is open, or the presence of a strong acidic odor"
"The 7th and 8th digit(s) of the product are the LOT NUMBER, The first 6 digits are the date of packaging"
Accurate 4064...Lots 2 through 16...Date and lot # Example... 0129148 =1/29/2014 Lot 8
Accurate 2495...Lots 2 through 17
Accurate 4350 Lot 2 through 22
They recommend you fill the effected containers with water which will render the product inert and safe for disposal...
Notify Western Powders Inc. at 406-234-0422 or customerservice@westernpowders.com. They will provide you with instructions to photograph the bottle showing the lot number and provide refund information...

I got one of the bad canisters of accurate 4350....I'm glad I got it squared away with...it was a disaster when I opened that jug! 0 -

Yeah they gave me a bit extra than what I paid....said it was to compensate for any shipping/hazmat fees. Great folks to work with.
