I have a go pro hero 6 I play with. Doesn't come with instructions, everything is supposed to be "intuitive". You Tube will be your friend on how to run it.
Very nice with voice commands and bluetooth video to my phone.

Only issue I have is the battery life. Once it is mounted in the waterproof cover you cannot plug it into the charger so when on a trip and mounted on a motorcycle or atv I was only getting about 50 minutes of recording. If mounting on the dash inside the vehicle it would not need the waterproof cover and you could keep it plugged in.

I found a waterproof charging cord for the waterproof case and that solved my problems.

Also I had to set the video quality at the lowest setting. I have high speed internet here but a 10 minute video still had a 80 hour upload time to the internet. Once the video quality was off HD and at a low setting it is manageable to upload to you tube, text, email.

I use iMovies for editing the videos and am probably the worst video editor that ever lived.

Buy extra mounting stuff on amazon for cheap in bulk. I have a mount on all the vehicles now.

I have several that I use at work to record and measure certain activities, including some troubleshooting. As mentioned, the battery life is in general very poor when compared to other camera types. I also modified/cut one of the waterproof covers, so that I can use a battery bank which has gotten me a nearly eight hours of video.

I also have one that I mount on the rail of my crossbow. It has been into the field with me countless times over the last two years, and I have not found an opportunity to use it while there was a deer within shooting range, due to the loud beep the unit makes when powering on. If someone knows how to mute this noise, please share.
