Making Chili -
Yes I know this topic is as toxic as 9mm vs .45, Glock vs. 1911.
I am a troublemaker like that.
 Like Warbirds posting Glock models.
1 1/2 lbs. Browned ground Chuck.
1 large can dark red kidney beans.
Handfull of dried Pinto beans. (Yes, Beans - Heathens.)
1 can med./Hot Rotelle diced tomatoes with green peppers.
1 can regular diced tomatoes.
2 large rough diced Onions. (One sauteed with the ground chuck, the other raw, added in.)
A large handfull of garden grown hot peppers, fine diced. (Rather Hot mix.) [Thai, Cayenne, etc.]
Another large handfull of fine diced pickled Jalepeno's.
A generous amount of pickled pepper juice. (From both Jars.)
A couple tablespoons of Gunnut505's chili powder.
A few shots of Siriracha hot sauce.
Salt/pepper.
About 1/4 cup Red Quinoa.
Sure I am forgetting something here.
Would have added a large rough diced green Bell pepper. (f I had remembered to pick one up.) :?
Crock pot on High until rolling boil. Low, (still boiling until this evening.) Low (simmering until daylight tomorrow.)
It was around 15? last night. High of 26? today. Dusting of snow on the ground. Perfect Chili day.

I have to adjust the heat factor down a tad when I?m cooking for my 90 year old dad.
Brother, if you are not utilizing Possum Shanks into your chili, well then, I've got nothing else for you.
Perhaps grasshopper can help you along.

Where have you bean?
I was expecting you long before now.
Chili, without beans is Hot dog topping.
Randy, I am going to lose sleep over this tonight. (Nah.) I lose sleep over a lot of other stuff, rest assured, this will not be among them.
I will sleep (somewhat) soundly based on the scintilating aroma of a Crock Pot full of Chili, you probably would enjoy, if you gave it a chance.0 -
Ken, I'd enjoy several bowls of it and bring the beer as a token of thanks. I love chili.
And also that pot of kinda sorta chili except it's got beans in it stuff you're making, LOL!0 -

You would be welcome at my table any day Rocky. Would be an Honor, Sir.
I would hit you with a shot of Bear Deterrent/Spray, just to make sure you got the full heat of it, and enjoyed it fully. (Since you don't like beans.)

I (might) have poured Beer, in to many dishes.
Corned Beef, etc.
Usually, Smoked Sausage, Brats, etc.
There might be Sauerkraut involved also.
I admit to nothing here.0 -

Tequila makes me do bad things!! I?ll stick to a cold one or two with these concoctions and perhaps a taste of small batch, single barrel Knob Creek afterwards...two ice cubes made with spring water only. 0 -

Eating the first bowl. (I like to let Chili, meld - incorporate all the flavors.)

I made Chili Mac last night and yep it had beans in it.
Put noodles in a bowl, poured the chili w/beans on top and topped it with shredded pepper-jack cheese.
It was good and very spicy hot. No real recipe just added what I thought it needed. I used some really cheap ground meat 73-27 that was $2 for 3#'s, The beans were canned and out of date. The beer was a PBR that had been hot and cold several times. The onion and garlic were both old and my last ones.
I put a roll of TP in the refrigerator
I made cornbread to go with it. I used Buttermilk and cracklings to make the cornbread. Man it was good. I had corn bread for breakfast this morning

Sounds good Sam. I'd be curious as to your Chili ingredients. (If you care to share.)
I am about to have another big bowl of steaming hot goodness here shortly. The longer it simmers (on warm) in the Crock pot, the better it is.
Picked up some large Whole Wheat Tortilla wraps yesterday. Burritos here I come.

Well, you see now, there's an object lesson.
You can have chili with macaroni in it - but you wouldn't say it isn't chili unless it has macaroni in it. And it's the same with beans. You can have chili plus beans, but that's what it is: real chili with something else added.
(Damn good any of those ways, too!)0 -

You know, of course - I have been messing with you right?
I like and appreciate Chili, with beans, without beans etc. I love it all. Variety is the spice of Life.0 -
Absolutely. Nuttin' but funnin' both ways. Almost as enjoyable as a bowl of Texas Red. 0
