Not sure whats happening here
Around my place there are deer everywhere.
Bucks chasing does, does running all over the place bucks running around crazy. I was talking to Ricci and I would bet 15 deer ran by being chased by a 6 point.
The full moon and cold snap must have made them go nuts, either that or this is the full on rut day.
I had a 6 point behind my house in the woods about 50 yds away grunting at me and my dogs
I think he wanted to fight. Then I was in the barn working on my 1974 Power Wagon(I left the dogs in the back) and I turn around and there are 3 does in my drive way looking at me. I think they wanted to come in the barn to get away from the horny bucks.
It has been crazy here, I would bet 40-50 deer have run around on my place today and at least 5 nice sized bucks have been by.
Today would have been a great day to hang a stand here. I called both of the guys who I let hunt here and told them they need to come out here and set up, but it is really cold here.

Seeing some of the same here. Thinking I ought to get a Crossbow to take part in Archery Deer season that runs all the way through January.
I see archery / crossbows as another "break out a thousand" type of thing. Have enough hobbies and don't really want to spend the time / $ associated with learning / practicing for another hobby.0 -
I think it was a combination of a massive temp change (70 one day 35 the next) a huge full moon and a weather front that just blew in this morning with rain and cold.
I have not seen that much deer activity ever and I have lived her 10 years.
As far as hunting goes I don't have a big game lic and I don't hunt much anymore. I do have 2 guys who hunt my land and can use my land to get to state land behind me. I told both of them but they were at work and couldn't get away.
Anyway it was crazy. Its too bad I didn't have my Game Camera out.0
